It should be possibly to find something tiring, irritating or whatever and still not descend to the kind of behaviour which has been going on on this thread though.

I really don't want to add more to this but I think all this came about not because of an opinion but a stance , it gets tiring if one decides not to answer a question to keep things calm and then gets asked over and over and over for answer

Ana I didn't realise until later about the comments on the other thread, but either way this thread makes pretty unpleasant reading and I wasn't taking sides. I did think Iam64's comment about tanks and lawn was pretty good because I have been taken aback by some of the things soon says, but it takes all sorts to make life interesting. I prefer to pick my battles where I choose and usually focus on a stance rather than one person and their opinions.

And it was started as a result of comments made on another thread on which accusations and insinuations were made. All a bit of a mess, really, but not fair to lay blame purely on one side.

Have you read the thread in its entirety, Wilma? It's not simply a case of someone being a bit different.

Considering this thread is about diversity, it's done a pretty good job of showing what can happen when one person is a bit different.

i also agree with granjura. Witch-hunt is exactly the right word. Horribly unpleasant.

Actually, soon didn't start the thread, and it did become quite confrontational quite quickly; I think she was trying to defend herself against something she didn't really start.
I'm sorry now about a couple of my posts - I won't delete them because they were meant to be jokey and not unkind, but if someone is feeling a bit beleaguered, back against the wall, it wouldn't have helped.

Come to think of it, we don't even know if soontobe is male or female, black or white or other. I don't think we have a photo of this person.
I do miss male input on here though.

I suppose skin colour and hair type would be relevant on certain of the Style and Beauty threads. Can't think of anywhere else though!

That's my feeling too, bnonna. Most of the time it's not relevant to anything just as other incidental facts about one's appearance aren't.
