Having just posted on a thread about what to buy a two year old, it got me thinking about all the toys that GS has had which i have enjoyed playing with him with (forgive the clumsy English!). We played on the floor (when i could get on the floor!) with the wooden trains. It was nice to see him learn to put the tracks together - first a simple ring, and then, as we added bits with points and junctions and sidings! He was always much better at it than me! Then there was endless fun with Playmobil. Cops and robbers with all the little accessories, a fire station and engine with pumps that actually worked (very messy!), castles and knights. Our favourite, though, was Action Man! We have thirteen, and vehicles, garnered from various car boot sales and ebay sites, and funnily enough, not many of our games have involved war or soldiery. We have been scientists and lost jungle explorers ithe garden, abseiling down the honeysuckle, astronauts, frogmen, and then, inevitably, they were converted into Star Wars characters. They don't come out much these days. What have other gransnetters enjoyed joining their grandchildren in playing with?
