OH and SIL both into vinyl. so DGS is used to seeing a record player in action. I hope he likes it!

We had one of those too! I still have the Chatterphone, Zoo Train and Camper Van, complete with all the animals and camping equipment. The GC's love playing with their mummys' old toys.
I heard that one of the supermarkets -? Tesco - is stocking vinyl records and they are flying off the shelves, so perhaps I should dust down the record player....

The FP garage is great, rosequartz. I'd got rid of ours, so bought it again when I saw it at a local table top sale. I keep it here for when the DGS come round and it's so sturdy compared to the ones they have at home. They had the old-style FP playground for sale as well, and if I could have carried it, I'd have bought that too.

I did buy DGD the FP "chatter telephone" for her first Christmas last year, just as I bought one for her mummy's first Christmas.
All together, now " Aaaaah!"

I saw in the paper the other day that vinyl is making a comeback!

So anyone into manufacturing record players will make a fortune as most people have thrown them out!!
Now who thought that one up?

We had one for our DCs. It was great. Now children will probably not see record players.

Yes! And the tv which played:
Row, row row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is butter dream

(yes, I do know! grin)

And the garage.

Why did we get rid of it all?
I did buy an old-fashioned pull-along telephone for the DGD
