Paul Bloom, a professor of psychology at Yale, on why we create and use stereotypes. Very interesting TED talk. It's not all bad. Stereotypes are actually useful to our survival. It's not stereotypes themselves that are bad but, sometimes, how we use them. Do have a listen. It's about a quarter of an hour long.
