my 10 year old DD tells me she is going to teach the baby to be a cheeky little madam, just like her. I don't think many lessons will be needed!

My daughter is due 10th Feb and follows the 'count the kicks' programme.

My Son in Law likes to sing to the baby and that usually gets it dancing. Although I actually think the poor baby is trying to get away from the noise !

They do seem to be taking care of her which is very reassuring. Similar thing happened to our DDIL and DS recently and it is very worrying. Hope you will have a lovely, lively healthy DGC in due course.

To not move for 24 hours is more than just sleeping. It really is a cause for concern. The count the kicks campaign is all about checking how much they move in 24 hours.

From the NHS website 'The number of movements tends to increase until 32 weeks of pregnancy and then stay about the same, although the type of movement may change as you get nearer to your due date. You should continue to feel your baby move up to and during labour.
If you notice your baby is moving less than usual, or if you've noticed a change in the pattern of movements, it may be the first sign that your baby is unwell. You should contact your midwife or local maternity unit immediately so your baby's wellbeing can be assessed.
There's no specific number of movements that's considered to be normal. What's important is noticing and telling your midwife about any reduction or change in your baby's normal movements.'

DD1 was like that. She was very big and must have slept a lot. I think the examination and scan thingy (the thing they press on your stomach) must have woke her up.

I don't think she liked scans. When she was tiny she wouldn't stay still for them. One doctor referred to her as an awkward brat as he chased her around my stomach trying to get an image).

Wasn't the baby sleeping? As they get bigger and there is less room they are often quiet-

That must have been so worrying for you all!

It was!! Had a phone call, which I missed due to always having my phone on silent. Called her back when I realised an hour later and she was at the hospital.

Such a stressful wait for news after that.
