Good luck to everyone today. Sadly its pouring and blowing a gale here so I wont get that hole in one today. I shall have a laptop day and see if I can add things onto the local page which I have volunteered to host.

I hope for good news for both luckygirl and kitty and a safe day for everyone. I don't believe in it at all actually, good and bad things happen everyday to someone regardless of the date.

I'm not superstitious at all really and my mammogram is just the routine one - I hope!

I'm slightly worries though as the cat seems to have gone missing!

I too have a dental appointment tomorrow - plenty of choice for times as so many people are superstitious and refused appointments on that day/date. It was very fortunate as the crown I'm going in to have replaced actually dislodged itself on Monday night and I have a gaping hole where it was.

My mother did actually refuse to accept an urgent hospital appointment earlier in the year because it fell on Friday 13th.

As I understand it the superstition arises from the fact that the 13th man at the last supper betrayed Jesus who was then crucified on the Friday before Passover. Why people feel worried about themselves on Friday 13th is a complete mystery to me after all if you are a believer then the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins that we might live is the most wonderful gift ever.

I'm going out for afternoon tea tomorrow - we're going at lunchtime! I bought it from Groupon and the restaurant is in a lovely shopping and craft village, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

A woman I worked with always took a day off on Friday 13th. She had a lot of quirks like that.

Scraping car? All in the day's work for me - it doesn't need to be Friday 13th.

My bad luck came a day early-managed to scrape both car doors and take chunk out of alloy wheel trying to negotiate dd1's very tight driveway in howling wind and rain. I also got my feet absolutely soaked as drain in the middle of the drive had overflowed and I didn't see it in the dark. Ankle deep in freezing water with dgd shouting 'I'll be late for Cubs!' Had to drive home with bare feet. NOT a happy bunny.

My brother and I where born on Friday 13th mum always said it was the luckiest day of her life.bless her.

Tomorrow I'm visiting the Tower of London - hope my head remains attached to my body...

It's just a date, but should I see a ladder across my path, I shall go round it - just in case someone drops a roof tile on my head, of course.

It's a lucky day for me. DH was born on Friday 13th and I landed my dream job on Friday 13th way back in '78.

I have a bit of an awkward meeting, if I survive my mammogram , with the lady who 'runs' our village and is on the library committee. Micro managing doesn't come into it!
