Leading on from first records you bought, songs that make you cry, songs that make you dance etc. How about a game of guess the title of a song and the singer, from a single line of lyrics? try not to Google, but guess it, more fun.Whoever is correct first, does the next one.

So, mine is
There she was, just a walkin' down the street.........

I think it was by the lovely Billy Furey. I might be good at the these but my brain was filling up with lyrics while my brother was getting his PhD.

Ana Sun 15-Nov-15 19:40:13

But I don't know who recorded it! grin

(and I refuse to google)

Ana,s turn!
I have never cheated and don't mind being a know it all. Got to be good at something in my tiny life.

rosesarered Sun 15-Nov-15 19:49:56

Well, you and Ana and wilma are very good at this, your memories are obviously in better nick than mine.

Ana Sun 15-Nov-15 19:50:55

Wot, of course none of us cheats - was just saying I can't even bring myself to find out whether I'm right or not and who sang it after I've posted! smile

Erm...not so good at thinking of new ones though

wotanuisanceABC123 Sun 15-Nov-15 19:52:48

Thank you! But I often go upstairs and think "What the Dickens am I doing up here!" Etc etc

Ana Sun 15-Nov-15 19:55:51

The hours that were yours echo like empty rooms
The thoughts we used to share I now keep alone

wotanuisanceABC123 Sun 15-Nov-15 19:57:42

Theres grief that can't be spoken
There,s a pain goes on and on,

Very apt at the moment.

wotanuisanceABC123 Sun 15-Nov-15 19:58:34

Sorry, I cross posted.

Ana Sun 15-Nov-15 20:06:50

'Twas my turn wot! Do keep up...grin

wotanuisanceABC123 Sun 15-Nov-15 20:09:50

Sorry!

rosesarered Sun 15-Nov-15 20:10:15

They both sound sad songs, and, as usual, I don't know them, somebody else needs to join in.

nannieroz111 Sun 15-Nov-15 20:34:22

Would love to join in, but 'fraid I don't know either of the lyrics.

hildajenniJ Sun 15-Nov-15 23:01:45

Love Les Mis. It's "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables".

Haven't played this before, what do I do now?

hildajenniJ Sun 15-Nov-15 23:04:30

If I had a song that I could sing for you,
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way.

I hope this is right!

wotanuisanceABC123 Sun 15-Nov-15 23:21:30

Yes, you've done it right! You guessed it right so you get to give the next clue as you have done

WilmaKnickersfit Sun 15-Nov-15 23:50:20

Ana is yours No Regrets by the Walker Brothers or the Righteous Brothers? Can never remember the difference!

hilda don't think I know yours. Just mulling it over.

I keep missing ones I know.

rosesarered I met my husband at a pop quiz, so I'm used to music questions, but we all remember different songs. smile

Ana Mon 16-Nov-15 09:34:26

Yes, that's it Wilma and it was the Walker Brothers.

grannylyn65 Mon 16-Nov-15 09:45:28

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 16-Nov-15 10:03:39

I'll be longing for the day
That I will be returning again

rosesarered Mon 16-Nov-15 16:56:35
