Up early as have to drive to Southampton for start of holiday. It's lovely here in the SE and hope everyone, wherever in the UK, has a lovely few days ahead.

We had a lovely time at DGD's party yesterday but today we are going to Ikea as DS1 has broken his mirrored wardrobe door.

Good morning to you all, another lovely morning here, just a little on the chilly side, but it holds promise for a fine day. Our son to lunch today, and our daughter and son in law might pop in later, it depends on what else they achieve on the last day of their (working) holiday. We have a beautiful start to the day in Tynedale. Blue sky and I cannot relax today as I have two days to wash, iron and clean the house. I want everything done before Tuesday. It is my Dad's funeral. I don't suppose anyone will come here, but I want to be prepared just in case.

Another beautiful day! Had hoped to go for a little sail, but DH overdid it on the climbing play stuff at the Dinosaur Park and has sciatica this morning. I did warn him!

Very foggy round Derby at the moment. The S.O. was meant to be driving to Northumberland today but, after seeing the weather forecast he left yesterday afternoon. He said that no matter how safely you drive in foggy conditions it's the other idiots that cause you to have an accident. I did think he was being over cautious but from what I can see out of the window [or NOT see] he was right to travel when he did.

Lovely weather here in Malta today. Am sitting outside admiring the new array of plants that DGD and I have planted over the past few days.

Good morning all. Have just organised the DGSs off to football training and sitting down to indulge myself with a little bit of time on GN. It has been a very busy 3 months of childcare, visitors, DD distress and a new baby. Now time to catch up. Beautiful day in Co.Down! If not childminding later, might go for a long walk.

Good morning, beautiful, sunny day here. DS and family are away for the weekend so DH and I are off to our home in Cumbria. I have a voucher for afternoon tea at The Sharrow Bay hotel so may spend an afternoon there.
