That's not the same bottle of Cava from the beginning of the month is it phoenix ... wink

baubles Sat 19-Sept-15 17:44:15

Go for it.

I'm also on the couch, taking tablets & feeling miserable with a cold which had gone sad

I wouldn't thank you for those nibbles though. What I want is tomato soup and a pile of hot buttered toast. Mmmm.

You'd be more than welcome, Nankate!

As Mr P is away during the week, and doesn't always have "proper" meals, I do try to feed him well over the weekend.

jingl grin

kittylester Sat 19-Sept-15 17:33:47

Brilliant phoenix! grin

NanKate Sat 19-Sept-15 17:33:17

Can I come round to your house your supper sounds fab and I love Cava?

Perhaps a few of us could come and have a game of cards afterwards. smile

Anne58 Sat 19-Sept-15 17:29:25

Mr P is a wonderfully stoical chap, never one to make a fuss, which is how I know that he must be feeling awful.

Unlike exdh, if I had a cold, he had flu, if I had a cough, he had bronchitis.

I think it was the bane of his life that he couldn't quite manage period pains!

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 19-Sept-15 17:29:00

She's probably scoffed it by now. hmm

Now, phoenix why haven't you asked poor Mr P if he'd like to share it? You couldn't eat all that surely, before steak etc........ Could you?
hmm. wink

kittylester Sat 19-Sept-15 17:26:22

Nah, it's only an appetiser! grin

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 19-Sept-15 17:23:42

I was going to cross that hashtag out. But then I thought, "it's only that phoenix)

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 19-Sept-15 17:22:48

It sounds warming. Probably just what HE needs. And yes, it would spoil your appetite.

I have a bottle of Cava in the fridge, which would go well, being Spanish!

Problem is, would it spoil my appetite for supper, steak, salad and jacket potatoes?

ninathenana Sat 19-Sept-15 17:14:21

As your feeling so rough Mr P I didn't think you'd fancy any said with a winning smile

You deserve it phoenix

rosesarered Sat 19-Sept-15 17:10:34

Do it! He will never know.smile He can have a nice tin of soup.

kittylester Sat 19-Sept-15 17:10:12

I'm sure he wouldn't begrudge you as you are looking after him so well. I'm useless when dh is I'll - it really irritates me. blush

jogginggirl Sat 19-Sept-15 17:05:39

Sorry to hear about Mr Psad but surely he feels too unwell to join you in your platter confusedwink

A nice glass of dry white would go down nicely with it too wink

Anne58 Sat 19-Sept-15 17:01:57

Poor Mr P is unwell, dreadful cold, I know he feels awful because he is actually taking tablets, which he so rarely does.

He has taken himself of to the sofa, which is a first for him at this time of day.
sad

In the fridge there is what is described as a "Spanish sharing platter" of 2 types of Chorizo, olives stuffed with pimento and Manchego cheese with chilli.

I sooo want to rip it open and eat it! I could easily eat the whole lot and bury the packaging in the bin blush

But that would make me a very bad phoenix !
