Maybe it is indeed the weather. Where has the sun gone? SAD syndrome perhaps. The darker evenings are really making a difference too so all in all, I'm quite chuffed that I am actually up and dressed (10 o'clock)

*ended, not ending!

For several successive days my DD 'popped in' and ending up staying most of the day, with dog and baby. It is exhausting. I feel very slothful today and just want to stay on the sofa. I have my Kindle next to me, and my knitting and my laptop. What more do I need? wink

I like mooching.......! Fab word isn't it? Feet are now on floor.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 15-Sept-15 10:03:42

Oh God! We've all got to rise up in unison. Right away! grin

On yer marks....!

Lona Tue 15-Sept-15 10:03:08

Too much pressure to be up, out and leaping around! We've done that bit, now it's time to mooch.grin

henetha Tue 15-Sept-15 10:01:41

Thank you jinglbellsfrocks..... grin

I'm pretending to myself that it's important to be checking emails, surfing Gransnet and Facebook; and doing a quick crossword on line. All excuses not to face the things that really need doing.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 15-Sept-15 09:59:59

here you are then henetha

Katek Tue 15-Sept-15 09:59:31

That's exactly what I want to do Jingl and maybe a short doze after lunch. Never actually thought about a hormone connection but maybe you're right. I tend to just blame myself for not trying hard enough. Still haven't got off sofa......come on girl, you can do this thing!!

Lona Tue 15-Sept-15 09:58:32

It all seems so pointless. I will probably be OK later! wine with lunch wink

henetha Tue 15-Sept-15 09:57:56

Me too. Feel extremely lethargic. However, I've got an errand today which I absolutely don't want to do.
But if I don't, then I shall feel guilty. Help!

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 15-Sept-15 09:56:10

It's so hard sometimes to be bright and chirpy for someone else. So much easier to sit in a quiet corner and read my book.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 15-Sept-15 09:54:51

I'm halfway there Lona. shock

Lona Tue 15-Sept-15 09:53:44

I had a day like that yesterday and another one is hanging over me. I'm going for lunch with my bf, it's her birthday, and I must be bright and chirpy for her!
I agree jings, and I could easily slide into a glut of laziness and sloth.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 15-Sept-15 09:46:18

I had a day like that yesterday. It was quite nice really. I wouldn't mind another one today. But I'd better not.

I'm convinced it's because we haven't got the hormones we had before the meno. hmm

kittylester Tue 15-Sept-15 09:42:08

I'm feeling like that too Kate. Do you think it's the weather? Biorhythms?

I've got a library planning meeting this morning and keep hoping someone else will pull out so I don't have to bother going. Which is very strange because I'm [generally] really excited about what we are hoping to do. confused

I'm very slothful today and can't be bothered getting off the sofa. I have a hair appointment at 12 and then meeting friends for lunch but I am struggling to get on, tidy up and get organised. I feel perfectly fine physically so no excuse there. I woke up feeling like this-where has today's motivation gone?
