Do you, or did you used to enjoy horse riding?

ninathenana Sat 17-Oct-15 22:18:18

Despite being +size I only eat chocolate 3-4 times a year. It would probably be mint aero.

Do you eat supper, meaning a snack before bed.

NotTooOld Sat 17-Oct-15 21:56:12

Yes - and DH has lit the woodburner this evening, too. I don't know why as it is not very cold at all. I think he just likes playing with fire. It's too hot for me so I've brought my laptop in here where it's cooler.

What's your favourite chocolate bar - or do you never eat chocolate?

Indinana Sat 17-Oct-15 10:53:04

Only the usual school sports. I don't play now (should do!)

Have you had your central heating on this year yet?

ninathenana Sat 17-Oct-15 08:38:42

One of my primary school teachers Mrs Ryder, she was lovely and inspired my love of literature.

Did you play sport when younger ? If so which one. Or maybe you still do !

Grandma2213 Sat 17-Oct-15 02:32:53

Tricky one, as I had several jobs when at school, university and college - shop assistant, waitress, old folks home, metal box factory, post lady (person), chambermaid, barmaid and several more holiday jobs. There were two periods of time out, lasting more than 8 months, as an assistant in a TV Hire shop and a ward maid in a hospital but then I finally ended up as a teacher. Even then I went from Primary to Secondary to Special Needs.

Is there one person in your life (apart from parents) who has had a profound influence on you?

NotTooOld Fri 16-Oct-15 17:51:28

Had one the first time around, it was a sort of twist with three tiny diamonds. I'm saving if for my DiL but I don't wear it.

What was your first job after leaving school?

shysal Fri 16-Oct-15 08:39:55

NO! The only housewifely thing I enjoy is baking.

Describe your engagement ring, if you have one, and do you wear it all the time?

ninathenana Fri 16-Oct-15 07:53:36

Grandma2213 that sounds just like my brother grin

Hate cleaning the oven

Is there a household chore you enjoy ?

Grandma2213 Fri 16-Oct-15 00:51:29

Yes - an extremely clever, well read, knowledgeable friend who has strong opinions. Half the time I don't understand what she is talking about but I like her!

What household chore do you hate the most?

soontobe Thu 15-Oct-15 18:26:37

No.

Is there anyone who you are afraid to stand up to?[not talking about gransnetters]

loopylou Thu 15-Oct-15 13:23:50

Yes, probably too regularly if I'm honest!

Have you ever had your fortune told?

soontobe Thu 15-Oct-15 11:59:40

If only!
But having said that, the living room is and the kitchen and utility, but if anyone knows of a free painter and decorator, send him or her my way please.

Do you regularly treat yourself?

ninathenana Thu 15-Oct-15 08:32:44

I only listen to the radio in the car. It's set to Radio 1

Is your decor colour coordinated

shysal Thu 15-Oct-15 07:57:39

I would not have married my first real boyfriend. I was far too naïve and young.

Which radio station(s) do you listen to?

Grandma2213 Thu 15-Oct-15 00:41:27

I did in the past but don't seem to have the time (or money) now!

Is there anything in your past that you would change if you could?

ninathenana Wed 14-Oct-15 11:34:35

Yes, with and without the aid of my fingers smile

Do you ever go to the cinema/theatre alone.
(I know some have no choice, I don't mean to offend/upset)

lefthanded Wed 14-Oct-15 09:33:07

Yes - German. I learnt it in school to O level (remember those?) and kept it up by regular holiday visits. And in 1989 I was seconded to a German company based in Munich for 3 months as a liaison while they were building a system for us. You soon learn the language if you are immersed in it every day.

Can you whistle?

Leticia Wed 14-Oct-15 07:32:03

I would like to speak another language fluently.

Are you fluent in more than one language?

soontobe Wed 14-Oct-15 07:28:16

No

Is there a skill you wish you had learnt?

Grandma2213 Wed 14-Oct-15 00:24:25

3 nights in a caravan in N Wales with DS and 3 DGC. Exhausting but they loved it!!

Have you ever had a supernatural/mystical experience?

NotTooOld Tue 13-Oct-15 16:22:47

Cats! Shysal - I've never heard of zawadibengals, so what am I like (as they say)? grin

DH have spent a whole week recently 'spring' cleaning the house, including shampooing all the carpets and upholstery and washing and ironing the curtains. It's been enjoyable having quite a big project to undertake together and we're done now. We normally do it in the spring but this year I had a hip replacement in March so it didn't get done. Normally I hate housework.

Where did you go on holiday this year?

shysal Tue 13-Oct-15 16:00:46

www.zawadibengals.net/

Is there any housework which you enjoy?

NotTooOld Tue 13-Oct-15 12:38:04

At the moment, it's jeggings, but I'm very fickle.

What's your next favourite website after Gransnet?

shysal Tue 13-Oct-15 08:52:08

I was about 25 years old, and passed first time, much to my surprise!

What is your favourite item of clothing, past or present?

ninathenana Tue 13-Oct-15 08:18:53

I always did the wallpapering but I last did it 2 yrs ago and vowed. never again !

If you drive, how old were you when you passed your test.
