In Germany Christmas Eve as soon as it gets dark. Room dark, candles lit and the tree standing and lit for the first time with real candles. Curtains open so that you can see all the other houses lit up with candle light.

Yes. I haven't watched the series just tonight's Final and Results because I cannot listen to the inane chat from those two female presenters. Anton would be a great presenter IMO.

I can live without tv for a week - and frequently do. We don't carry a tv in the caravan so whenever we're away we manage without it.
