Ah that's a good one NanKate, can't count people or pets I suppose so really can't think of anything other than photographs.
Although when I'm trying to have a clear out I find I can't part with anything.

I chat to myself constantly in my head and only occasionally out loud to say things like 'I am putting my keys in the bedroom'. DH insists all keys are kept upstairs at night, so if we had a break in the burglars wouldn't take the car.

I did once, and I brought it in. I had it for a few weeks but my dog was terrified so I had to contact the Cats' Protection League. I gather it went back to NZ with a couple. 30 or so years on the couple are still in touch.
