Rudolph Nureyev when I was about 15. He had performed the previous night at The Royal Shakespeare theatre. I had gone with the family to see his wonderful performance. The next day he passed our house in Stratford and I ran outside to ask him to sign my programme. He was very gracious and a delight to meet.
