Lona, I`m Gmini as well, I was ordering a tunic top this afternoon, and as there were 25 colours to choose from, I thought what the heck, and ordered 2!
Like I`ve said on another thread, I can`t ride a bike, because once I got too big for my 3 wheeler, my mother always refused to let me have a 2 wheeler.

Some things I am proud of (and some I'm not so proud of - you decide).

I have - found an unexploded WW2 shell in Normandy.
- spend a night in the cells "drunk and disorderly"
- met Alice Cooper (Vincent Furnier) which was an amazing experience
- met Margaret Thatcher which wasn't
- built my own computer from second-hand bits
- survived a heart attack and a DVT (not at the same time)
- ridden a motorcycle at 120mph
- towed a caravan more than 100,000 miles
- had several magazine articles published.

Oh, and I went to Aberfan (we lived near Pontypridd in 1966) with my father and 2 of my older brothers to assist in the rescue effort, but by the time we got there the professional mine rescue teams had arrived and the police were turning volunteers away.

Great thread.

I love driving, learnt 40 plus years ago when I was a little WRAF in Germany and will be devastated if I ever have to give up.

I love my Ford Focus ST, but still miss my lovely red Ford Puma. My aging hip meant I struggled to get out of it so it had to go.

Am addicted to Chinese dragons, especially for the garden, and will drive miles to pick up my essential (completely unnecessary) ebay bargains.

Hate housework, though I love planning new things for the house and I quite like spring cleaning. It's the everyday housework I hate.

Hate being semi retired, I'm still on a bank contract for covering annual leave etc, but I miss the routine of daily work.

Love, love, love Bruce Springsteen.

Always said I was a cat person and would never have a dog. Promised other half he could have a dog when we retired, so 2 months ago we got a tiny Cavachon and I have completely fallen in love. Don't tell the other half, at the moment all feeding and clearing up mess is down to him.

Bamm Thu 10-Sept-15 16:27:41

I took the 13+ and passed, married three times, twice to the same man and I stutter. If I like something, article of clothing for example, I go and buy more just the same!
