I was so pleased when all my damson jam sold at our fete, all 20 jars of it - but then realised I hadn't even tasted it so was then worried that maybe it wasn't very good! Luckily a lady in the knitting club bought a jar and said it was lovely, which was a weight off my mind.
The only problem is - they want twice as much to sell next year! As it took a day to pick and sort and clean, and a day to make, I do find the prospect rather daunting at a time of year when I have my own harvest to get done. Which reminds me - I have several marrows, squashes, pounds of tomatoes and beans and apples needing my attention so I really shouldn't be on here...
