Oh dear, no Mick, wonder where he has got to again. I am really late, past noon, as I had to rush out this morning, slept late, and enjoy my knit-in session, so left everything else, to catch the bus. Worth it. Hope you are all having good days.

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Looked for this thread earlier but Mick was AWOL. Hope he's OK.
Clear blue skies and fresh feeling, lovely. Not forecast to last though so washing was out early.
Sainsburys delivery has arrived and then a quick clean and tidy (house is for sale and we have had a steady stream of viewers)
Off into town later for DS sight test and school shopping. He doesn't go back until Monday.

Good morning, at last I have a couple of minutes to post. Typical grey north east day and feeling autumnal. Yesterday was last full day of childcare, they went back to school today. GD2 is six today and is so excited at being in year1.

Good morning all.
Just a few miles from Lona and no sun here yet.
My youngest GS is also starting "big school" today. He has been saying for weeks now that he can't go as he isn't five yet!! We don't know where that is coming from.He has been going, very happily, to the nursery class at the same school, for a year now.
I hope my visiting Guinea pigs are going home today,my ex DiL must be running out of excuses for not fetching them yet, they got home in the early hours of Monday morning!!

Morning all, rather overcast in Tees Valley, but dry after last nights rather sharp showers.

NfK, how do you remove the walnuts from their outer cases? We have several walnut trees, but the gathered walnuts just go mouldy when I've put them to dry.

This morning I saw the biggest rainbow I have ever seen.

Had a few showers obviously!

Good morning. Overcast in N. Bucks.

DGs here for a few days so will be having lessons on 'War hammer' !

hildajenniJ Wed 02-Sept-15 08:45:16

Good morning everyone.
Bright and sunny start in Tynedale. Showers are forecast for later in the day though. Second attempt at getting the paintwork repaired on DS's car this morning. Last week we took it in, but they had forgotten to book in the job, so we had to bring it home again. DH has a day off today, so we might do something, but what?
Have a lovely day all.

Good morning all and add my wishes that Mick is O.K.
Lovely start to the day here in mid Essex too. Yesterday was wet and chilly all day so it is good to see some blue skies. I am just going to flick through some threads before getting on with some household chores sad that is if I don't get sidetracked into joining in grin.
Enjoy your day.

Loved

Indinana Wed 02-Sept-15 08:37:08

Oh how lovely to have a walnut tree nfk! Do you just eat them all as they are? Dry them? Pickle them? My mother lovee pickled walnuts.

Morning All

Hopefully it's just Mick's computer is up the shoot again.

It's another lovely sunny autumn morning here. The walnuts are starting to fall and they've a bit of flesh in them now. Should be a good year - the tree is full and we've had enough rain. Time to start tidying the garden.

Have a good day Everyone.

Indinana Wed 02-Sept-15 08:27:43

I too have been wondering about Mick - yes, hope you're all right.

Another bright start in the SW. I could get used to this...

I'm going round to sit with my two GSs in a bit, while their mum goes to a meeting. GS2 will definitely blow the cobwebs away for me - he is a little whirlwind! GS1 will doubtless be sitting quietly at his laptop playing Minecraft or skyping his friend in New York. Oh no, too early for that, it's the middle of the night over there grin.

Have a good day wherever you all are.

Lona Wed 02-Sept-15 08:22:19

Morning! Hope Mick's OK.
Sunny here at the moment for first day at 'big school' for dgs.
Exercise class for me although I struggle with my knees and my frozen shoulder!hmm

ninathenana Wed 02-Sept-15 08:15:04
