I spent many holidays there with a friend whose family all lived in Jersey and loved it. I think in high season it's a bit to much but remember La Corbiere scenery and Bonne Nuit bay and Gorey. I'd like to go back but include the other islands as well.

We went about 4 years ago during their Tennerfest.i think that's what it was called. In October, I think. Lots of the restaurants put on meals at a reduced price often a tenner! We did a short 3 day package which included dinner at a choice of these establishments, some very up market.

Jersey reminded me of Cornwall. Some lovely walks. It is very small so you can have a cliff walk or a long, beside the sea walk. We were at St. Helier which has a huge sweeping bay. Everywhere is very clean I didn't see any rubbish. On our walk around the bay I was amazed how many public conveniences there were! No need to get caught short. I think this all reflects what a monied island it is.

It also has history. There is the huge hospital the Germans tunnelled out in the hills. Never used but ready to receive massive casualties. We also visited a lovely little church.

DH went to Jersey about 10 years ago and said it's lovely.

I hope you are not planning to see the Northern Lights in Jersey? They wouild be worse than unreliable, more like impossible. You'd have to go North, to Scandinavia or Iceland. I have seen 2 and 3-day trips to these places, but with no guarantee of seeing the Lights.

There is a "Northern Lights Forecast" for Iceland rather like the weather forecast.
