Just seen the latest proposal of that possible Labour leader he wants women only carriages n trains, some of his ideas are stupid hope he does not win, because things like renationalisation of rail etc costs money, to pay for most of his ideas in his world , it would increase the basic rate of Income Tax to 35%.

Yes, it will indeed be interesting.

Anniebach Sat 12-Sept-15 12:18:04

We will have to wait and see

Ana Sat 12-Sept-15 12:16:06

I'm not so sure Corbyn will be calm - he seems very touchy on certain subjects and gets quite ratty!

Anniebach Sat 12-Sept-15 12:14:44

PMQ will be interesting, Corybyn will be calm and Cameron will get red in the face with his pathetic attempts at jokes and loss of temper

trisher Sat 12-Sept-15 12:11:59

Great acceptance speech. Really inclusive but passionate about his beliefs and an equal society.

Be interesting to see what the PM question time will be like.

durhamjen Sat 12-Sept-15 11:46:15

Can we change the heading?
59.9% of the vote.

shysal Sat 12-Sept-15 11:38:37

Corbyn has won!

Anniebach Sat 12-Sept-15 11:15:40

So we will know shortly. The political experts! for the beeb and sky are so longing for the party to disintegrate . They quote insiders , mmmmmmmm

Hunt is talking new labour

durhamjen Mon 07-Sept-15 21:40:42

Watched the Panorama about Corbyn.
Strange the way that the Labour establishment say he is not electable.
Tristram Hunt said he would not get people to vote for him, but the Labour party needed to connect to its roots. Isn't that what Corbyn is doing?

Corbyn and Cooper were both at the Durham Gala, but only Corbyn was asked to speak.

A bit of light relief, much needed at the moment smile

rosequartz Mon 07-Sept-15 18:33:16

POGS grin

rosesarered Mon 07-Sept-15 15:04:17

Don't worry POGS, at least your post was political, I have seen some very funny 'wrong thread' posts on this forum before now.grin

Gracesgran Mon 07-Sept-15 13:24:26

POGS grin I am glad to see that I am not the only occasionally "confused of Gransnet"

POGS Mon 07-Sept-15 11:47:41

DJ

Bugger all 'at the moment' I obviously posted on the wrong thread.

You will I am sure note I have posted on the refugee thread.

durhamjen Mon 07-Sept-15 11:40:02

What's it got to do with Corbyn?

POGS Mon 07-Sept-15 11:19:50

Merkel and Hollande have joined together in another 'dictat' to the countries in the EU and they have just announced :-

That EU members must take their fair share of refugees. They said the EU will take 120.000 refugees over the next two years. Germany will take 31.000 and France will take
24.000.

This will be confirmed by Juncker later today.

Well if that is correct how do you square the 800.000 mooted for Germany to accept. I am completely puzzled by it all. Over 130.000 arrived in Germany over the laser weekend alone, if the figure I saw was correct.

I asked days ago if this could see the break up of the EU and I at least believe this will prove to be the EU's most difficult problem to date. I am not sure that the other 26 nations in the EU will do as instructed especially those in eastern Europe.

Panorama tonight on Corbyn, titled Labour's Earthquake.

Anniebach Mon 07-Sept-15 09:38:51

Things need to change Gracesgran,

Gracesgran Mon 07-Sept-15 08:20:37

We certainly live in interesting times Jen and Annie. I believe that whatever the outcome things will change .

soontobe Mon 07-Sept-15 07:47:31

Out of interest, if Corbyn wins, will everyone think it is a "fair vote".

And if he doesnt win, will everyone still think it is a "fair vote"?

Because it seems to me, that the whole process has been a bit of a mess.

Anniebach Sun 06-Sept-15 22:53:47

And if Corbyn wins for some time to come

durhamjen Sun 06-Sept-15 22:35:58

Interesting times next weekend and the week after.
