Using the short time we have on Earth wisely

Life is far too short.Thats for sure.You think everything is fine,then boom,you're stricken with something.Thats a thing I've learnt.So yes as long as you're not hurting anyone else,do what you want.So Rosesarered,be happy.Watch what you want.
Me I enjoy chatting with friends over a latte ,Elvis,any GOOD music,shopping,shopping,playing with the grandchildren,and shopping.No, I don't ask for much, I am quite content.

As I've got older I've come to realise that I don't care so much about how people judge me so I do things I've always wanted to do but didn't. Not things that hurt other people. Daft things like climbing a tree, having leaf fights or wearing trousers even though I have a big bum.

I should also give DH credit for this. He taught me that life is for living however you want to as long as you don't hurt anyone.

Oh I wish I could climb a tree still! And have a go on a pogo stick, do cartwheels, play hopscotch, skip with a rope. I tried using a hula hoop a few years ago and was gobsmacked that I couldn't do it anymore! I used to be the Hula Hoop Queen of my gang - I could keep it going forever, walk up and down the road with it. Now I can't do it

Yes indeed, life is to short to worry about how to use your time. Yesterday I spent a happy hour watching a live webcam in Long Beach harbour. I had a lovely time watching the boats come and go, and various people jogging, cycling etc. I wasn't very productive but I didn't mind at all.

It is as you all say very short and I enjoy a load of rubbish on TV with a bowl of popcorn too. I've always enjoyed caring for other people not because I'm good but because there is a huge payoff. i.e. its makes you feel good. Mother Teresa I've heard used to tell people who came to her to work as volunteers that they were there for their own good.

Indiana I've also tried to hulahoop and found it impossible! I used to be good at it, what's happened?
I'm still reasonably fit, but try as I might it just falls down.

Teetime! You introduced a serious note. However, when we have serious stuff to deal with in our lives, a bit of light relief is a very good thing, our minds need time out now and then.

I read these recently and it summed up what I aim for. But, don't mistake me for an overly serious person, I am full of fun, laugh at myself, see nonsense in all sorts of things and people.
