Good afternoon all. Slightly muggy and overcast in Glasgow today but not unpleasant. It's good to be outside giving DGDs' playhouse a coat of paint.

Cold, grey, wet and miserable here. More like November than August, I have dug my fleece and woolly socks out having frozen in a skirt, top and raincoat this morning sad

Oh dear whitewave, such a very tragic accident.

whitewave Mon 24-Aug-15 14:29:22

Had to cancel lunch as roads are too blocked or closed with the air accident.

Luckygirl Mon 24-Aug-15 12:29:14

It's wet, wet, wet. Sigh.

Good morning all, rather late I know. The bright start Lona spoke of is still with us and it is now very warm. Oop North has been lucky recently.
Cat sitting duties end tonight but guinea pig visitors with us another week, they are very sweet but they do smell!! I am cleaning them out more often than they get at home.

A bit late in the day but hallo cornergran and everyone else from a wet and grey mid Essex. I haven't seen rain as heavy as this for weeks. I shall be talking to DD1 in Cumbria later today. It will be interesting to hear what the weather is like there.

Bellanonna Mon 24-Aug-15 09:46:38

Seems to be ok further North. It's been chucking it down heavily in south London for the past hour. A real downpour going on at the moment. I've got to drive to DD2 shortly, just over an hour away, and won't enjoy the drive

Morning from Cheshire! Sunny so far but a bit cooler thank goodness.
I've got dgd3 for two days, as her mum is away, so no doubt I shall be on my knees by tomorrow night! We're off to feed the ducks this morning smile

Good morning everyone.
Lots of high grey cloud but with some watery sunshine breaking through, in south west Northumberland. The only thing I have to do today is housework. I must say that I would rather be doing something else. Well, it won't do itself I suppose.
Whatever you have to do today, chave a lovely time doing it. smile

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Washing in the machine but the airer is going up in the spare room as we are not forecast a dry day until Friday here.

ginny Mon 24-Aug-15 08:45:44

Good Morning.

Overcast and a little damp in N. Bucks this morning.

Chores to do this morning and then will be visiting a friend for tea and chat.

Good morning to you all, I think someone has just emptied a bucket of water over our part of the country, and it is quite chilly. Never mind we have a roof over our heads and food in the fridge, so must not complain. Thankfully not a lot planned for today, except collect specs from optician. Enjoy your days.

cornergran Mon 24-Aug-15 08:08:38

Good morning. Hope it's ok to join in from a very miserable SW. Hope your day is as good as it can be.

SloeGinny Mon 24-Aug-15 07:44:35

Morning all and hope you're ok Mick.

Tees Valley is warm, dry but very overcast. At least we had a lovely, sunny day yesterday for the show, so I don't mind if it rains today.

ninathenana Mon 24-Aug-15 07:42:31

Morning all.
It's dark and raining here in N Kent.. A total change from the weekend. Eye test this afternoon, I think I might have to change my reading glasses. More expense!

Indinana Mon 24-Aug-15 07:26:30

Morning everyone,
Hope you're ok Mick and you get the fainting issue sorted with your doc.
Pouring down here in the SW, with the rest of the week set for more of the same sad.
DD's dog stayed overnight, but I can't see DH walked her in this weather (he doesn't mind but she absolutely hates wet walkies!). Had a text to say my laptop is ready for collection after being repaired - unfortunately they couldn't retrieve any data so will have to redo my database of usernames/passwords for all my Internet sites, which will mean accessing them all and asking for password reset. Ah well,
that'll keep me occupied on this miserable rainy day!

kittylester Mon 24-Aug-15 07:11:54

Good morning all, good morning Mick. I do hope you are well and that the doctors can find out why you fainted.

It has been raining here too and the forecast is not good. I have lots of admin to do and then I'm also meeting a couple of friends for lunch. I have to fit in a trip to JL to change one of the cushions we bought on Saturday. I did tell DH the other one would look better! grin

Enjoy your days everyone! sunshine

whitewave Mon 24-Aug-15 06:58:34

Morning Mick hope all is well be with you? Have you sorted out your fainti g yet?

Like you been raining here on the South Downs. Not a very good week fore cast a lot of rain expected. Not very pleasant for those folk trying to clear the crashed airoplane site as there are still bodies to be found and cared for. Poor souls.

Lunch with a couple of friends today, which is more cheerful.
