Thanks for the good wishes folks. The weather today bears a remarkable resemblance to our wedding day 45 years ago - rain, rain, rain.

SloeGinny Wed 19-Aug-15 11:55:39

Good morning all and happy anniversary Lucky. It started of grey and drizzly here in the Tees Valley, but the sun is shining brightly now.

Busy day again today, catch you all later!

nannotgran Wed 19-Aug-15 09:54:37

Happy anniversary to you and DH Luckygirl

Pleasant here in Herefordshire - but slightly overcast and rain on its way. We have wee GD for the day today, so we are girding up our loins.

It is our 45th wedding anniversary today and OH has bought me a lovely poetry anthology called "Poems that Make Grown Men Cry." It is excellent.

Just an aside, but when I type Herefordshire on here it tells me it is wrong!

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Rained all day yesterday here but looks nice today.
Builder finished the work in one day instead of the quoted two so I have a free day - hence the lie in.
Slept next to renovated ensuite and woke with a cough....bloomin' dust!

daffydil Wed 19-Aug-15 09:10:56

*nannotgran did your shed get painted as arranged?
whitewave you do mean dog stripper this p.m.? grin

ginny Wed 19-Aug-15 09:10:37

Sunny start here in N. Bucks, hope it lasts.

Lots of jobs to do today and lots of washing after our week away.

hope you all have a good day.

Indinana Wed 19-Aug-15 09:05:04

Morning everyone.
After a few lovely sunny days I woke up to the familiar sound of rain on the window this morning sad. I could quite happily have turned over and snuggled down for another hour or two, but I'm babysitting my two GSs this morning, so no chance. GS2 will definitely keep me awake, whirling dervish that he is...
Have a good day whatever you're doing and whatever your weather smile

glassortwo Wed 19-Aug-15 09:04:54

And the sun has just broken through as I posted.

glassortwo Wed 19-Aug-15 09:03:52

A hazy start here in the North east, Tesco delivery is imminent and then off to collect Mum to visit a cousin, last day of freedom the DGC arrive back early tomorrow morning.. I have enjoyed my break but missed them cant wait to see them sunshine

annsixty Wed 19-Aug-15 08:59:24

Good Morning all.
As Lona said bright and beautiful here.
Visiting guinea pigs arriving today for their hols. As their cage is too big to bring we have to have them in a folding cage in the conservatory and they are very vocal and they poop a lot so I am forever cleaning them out.

nannotgran Wed 19-Aug-15 08:54:52

daffydilim mooving your way I think yesterday was awful

daffydil Wed 19-Aug-15 08:41:01

Good morning all.
Lovely and bright here in mid Essex with a cloudless blue sky. Nannotgran you are not many miles away yet we had very little rain yesterday though as I have said before this part of Essex seems to have its own microclimate.
Enjoy day whatever the weather.

vegasmags Wed 19-Aug-15 08:40:30

Beautiful blue sky here in Manchester although I think rain is forecast for this afternoon. Off for my Slimming World weigh in this morning (I've been going for years to keep myself in check) and then another stint in the garden. Having dinner with my book group tonight before our regular meeting.

hildajenniJ Wed 19-Aug-15 08:34:51

Good morning everyone.
Lovely bright start in Northumberland. Sunny and warm. It's a pity that I am missing part of it. I had such a sleepless night that I have come back to bed to try and have a few more hours. Nighty morning! moonsunshine

whitewave Wed 19-Aug-15 08:22:39

Good morning everyone
Marginally brighter this morning. Dog day today - bathing this morning - very smelly of the river, then off to the stripper this afternoon.

nannotgran Wed 19-Aug-15 08:20:46

Not a bad start this morning in north essex its a bit cloudy but anything is betterthan yesterday it rained none stop for 12 hrs
and we are NOTuse to that.Enjoy your day

hobbitgran Wed 19-Aug-15 07:38:10

Morning All. Yesterday's sunshine has gone. Look out one way and there's lightish grey cloud. The other is dark and full of rain. Indoors today. Still arguing with the germs. At least DH is fine now so can bring tea. Hope your day is kind to you.

PRINTMISS Wed 19-Aug-15 07:35:19

Good morning to you all, we too have a bright start, but for the past few days we have had bright cloud (if that is possible), and no blue skies, but ever hopeful. We do have rain forecast later on which will do the garden good, ours dries out quickly. Off to knit and natter this a.m. I like the different company. Enjoy your days.

Lona Wed 19-Aug-15 07:34:01

Morning all sunshine Looks like a sunny start so far.
I've got another visit from the electrician later as a mysterious problem is possibly caused by a leak. Which could mean either the roof or the kitchen being "investigated" with expensive consequences!
Shall I just put the house up for sale now before anything else fails? hmm

ninathenana Wed 19-Aug-15 07:30:13

Morning all.
A much brighter start than yesterday. It looks promising. A dad of pottering for me.

kittylester Wed 19-Aug-15 07:27:48

No, NFK, kids round here do it too!! grin

Enjoy Rutland Water and the bird fair. We go occasionally but not this year. If you want a nice meal out, try the Finches Arms at Hambleton. The food is great and the patio has fabulous views over the water. Think I might have talked myself into a trip out for Sunday lunch. grin

NfkDumpling Wed 19-Aug-15 07:15:36

Ooh, we both said the same thing at about the same time Kitty. Should we link little fingers and have a wish? (Or is that just a Norfolk kids thing?)
