Afternoon all, still good here. That is in the sense that the temperatures are staying pleasant rather than high thirties.

daffydil I get a similar problem with my iPad. It happens mostly when I try to do a long post. As you say very frustrating. The only way of stopping it seems to be by previewing every sentence or so. Makes for a disjointed post and I can't refer back to other peoples posts.
It also happens sometimes when I'm reading a long thread and want to go to the next page. iPad says that internet connection is lost and it takes an irritating 5 minutes to get it back.
I don't think that it has happened on anything but Gransnet.

Morning all, bright and sunny again in the Tees Valley.

Did you find your moss yesterday thatbags? Hope the stiffness wears off soon. I was like that yesterday, having walked all round the Hancock Museum in Newcastle on Saturday morning, then the Arbeia Roman Fort in the afternoon. It was a great day, and, surprisingly, free admission, but so much walking that my hip was seriously complaining by the time we got home.

Today is shopping and housework.

Good morning all.

It a lovely start in North Leicestershire and I hope it continues as our lovely gardener is here today with LOADS to do. blush We had decided to manage the garden ourselves as it is only tidy and we have the gardener come only 2 or 3 times a year. However, we have hardly done anything since her last visit blush. We WILL keep on top of it this time - promise. grin

DD3's drains have been drilled through by Sky so DD and 2x DGC are here for baths and showers - and there's me thinking they had moved out!

I'm on library duty this afternoon too. smile

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

Nandalot Mon 17-Aug-15 10:00:37

Morning all. Sounds like a lovely day everywhere and it's beautiful here in Lincolnshire too. What to do today? So many jobs I don't know where to start!

Gagagran Mon 17-Aug-15 09:34:30

Morning all! The sun is shining, it's lovely and warm and the laundry is on the line. Hurrah!
Nothing much planned for today unless I can bestir myself to sort out my wardrobes and have a clear out - much needed.

Happy days everyone! sunshine

annsixty Mon 17-Aug-15 09:20:17

Oh lucky you anno I hope the sun is shining there. My DD, who lives further south, tells me all the time "oh it's lovely and warm here".
I hope you aren't leaving us altogether Lona.

annodomini Mon 17-Aug-15 08:59:22

Good morning. As Ann60 and Lona have already said, the weather is a bit gloomy at the moment, but I think it might prove sunny later. I'm off south by train this afternoon to see the family and do some child minding.

Indinana Mon 17-Aug-15 08:54:48

It's promising to be another lovely day here in Devon, blue sky and sunshine sunshine
I've got to get to PC World today with my laptop which has mysteriously stopped working - it's still under guarantee but only until tomorrow! I've got my iMac but that's in the dining room and I like to have my laptop in the living room which I can just pick up and put down in between other things. My iPad is very old (in iPad terms), so not very reliable these days.

Oh, and good morning everyone (nearly forgot!) smile

annsixty Mon 17-Aug-15 08:52:02

Good morning all.
As Lona has already reported dull but mild. I am "cat sitting'" this week for a neighbour, twice daily visits, to feed and water so don't need rain. Not far but my legs are "playing up".

Lona Mon 17-Aug-15 08:30:48

Good morning all, it's dull here, bit of a non starter really.
Meeting a friend this morning, then a roofer is coming later to find the leak in the porch roof. I've also got a faulty electric plug which needs sorting, so ........ another bill looming!
My house will be going on the market early next year and I'm trying to hang on before anything else goes belly up. shock

daffydil Mon 17-Aug-15 08:27:30

Good morning everyone. Promising in this part of Essex too and although I haven't put my head outside yet it feels pleasantly warm,
I originally started this post on my iPad soon after Mick opened the
Good Morning thread and when I had almost finished the screen sort of jumped about and the text deleted. It's most frustrating as it is not the first time. Any explanation anyone?
nannotgran I hope your painter turns up this time. Pittcity I sympathise - when my son was a teenager (he is now a Grandfather!) he hated dentists so I only gave him two days' notice of an appointment then he wouldn't speak to me until it was over. My two daughters didn't seem to mind going.

PRINTMISS Mon 17-Aug-15 08:07:44

Good morning to you all, we have a bright morning again, the last few days have been the same, then a pall of low cloud has settled over us, and although it has been dry, not really sunny. Never satisfied. O.H. visiting optician this morning, and I will shop whilst he is there. We too seem to be lacking colour in the garden Whitewave, must sort that out. Enjoy your days.

hobbitgran Mon 17-Aug-15 08:01:22

Good morning everyone. Bright and almost sunny here. Seeing a friend this morning then out with DH for the first time in a week. He's been 'proper poorly' with a bug. Doubtlessly a virus! Stir crazy now and more energy so out we will go. Hope Monday is kind to you all.

hildajenniJ Mon 17-Aug-15 07:56:23

Good morning everyone.
Lovely start to the day in Northumberland. Let's hope it continues. The dog has to go to the grooming parlour for a general spruce up, this morning. I'll have upstairs hoovered before she comes back. Then there is the ironing!
Have a lovely day all.

whitewave Mon 17-Aug-15 07:53:28

Morning Mick

Sunnyish here on South Downs. Over to Mums today after walking the dog to collect her washing and jobs etc.
Looking at the garden and deciding what needs to change. Think I need some asters like Monch as there seems a bit of lack of colour at the moment. Deciding what bulbs to order. So far lilac and cream tulips.

Pittcity Mon 17-Aug-15 07:45:57

Good morning from sunny Colchester sunshine
Not a cloud in the sky and so much fresher that I can now sleep...hooray!
On the downside, I have to drag teenage DS out of bed and to the dentist #harder work than a toddler!

nannotgran Mon 17-Aug-15 07:45:13

Blue sky sun shining warm lovely morning in north essex
man coming to paint my shed, ha ha it could be 3rd time lucky

thatbags Mon 17-Aug-15 07:28:10

Morning folks! It looks like a summer day here. Lovely. I'm a bit stiff and creaky after yesterday's moss hunt so this morning will be a slow waltz.

NfkDumpling Mon 17-Aug-15 07:15:27

Morning Mick, morning All

A beautiful day here this morning. Perfect for hauling our sailing boat out to clean the grot off her bottom! Then we're taking DD2 and DGD2 for a short trip up the river. We had a lovely sail yesterday which makes us wonder whether we should change our minds about selling her - but DH hasn't made it down the stairs yet and I'm waiting for the pain killers to work! We'll be fine!

Have an excellent Monday Everyone! sunshine
