Husbands and laundry...beware -trivia.

OH has done the washing for about 20 years, when he semi-retired and I went out to work full time. He definitely knows what he is doing and I am banned from the washing machine. Suits me just fine!

I always sort out the whites from coloureds but i notice that my neighbours do not appear to bother. Admittedly one is a man but very house trained- cooks, cleans, does DIY, can turn his hand to anything. If he has a downside, it takes months to think about doing something.He is not married, lives with his sister.

I get so annoyed when DH and DS leave tissues in their pockets.
I've never asked DH to sort laundry loads. He can turn the machine on, empty it and hang the laundry out to dry.
I've spent 40 yrs trying to teach him the right my way to hang it though.

DH has always put washing in. It's only taken him 40 years to get the hang of sorting colours and white washing.

No, OH is not allowed to use the washing machine. He is brilliant at ironing though, maybe because he was in the forces.

I am a bit lax on the whole. Most often I get away with it.

So did he add the two 'coloured' garments after you had sorted it out? My OH has no clue what goes with what when it comes to laundry I always sort out my whites and coloureds so no you are not being unreasonable but you have to make allowances, after all he is a man
