Good to hear from you Mick! There were a lot of people wondering where you were. We seem to rely on you to start our day.

harrigran Thu 13-Aug-15 18:55:57

DH installed windows 10 and it is fine but his computer is more modern than mine and has way more memory.

dustyangel Thu 13-Aug-15 12:29:20

Bom Dia everyone, that covers this time of day very well!

I'm glad that you're back Mick, DH keeps threatening to install Windows 10 on his computer but he is hearing of so many problems that he keeps postponing it as well. I'm mostly using the iPad now so I can't see the point for me.

Lovely day here today, after a cooler night the temperature has only just got up to 23° which is great, its a bit breezy but plenty of blue sky.

Wishes for sunshine for you all.

Gagagran Thu 13-Aug-15 10:41:03

Morning all! It's very wet and thundery here in SE Hampshire and the thunder woke me at 3am. We've been to do the supermarket shop and had breakfast and indolence has now set in. Not much else on the agenda for today.

Glad you are OK Mick - everyone was concerned about you. I got Windows 10 downloaded this week with no problems. I need to get to grips with what it can do - may take some time!

Enjoy your days everybody and may the sunshine shine on us all before too long.

Good morning all + to Mick who (as I'm new to GN) have not met on GN, as yet cloudy here in staffs. Got quiet day (famous last words) as our local thursday 'grandpaent/grandchildren' club is off now till september.

ginny Thu 13-Aug-15 09:43:51

Glad you are well Mick.
In Cornwall at the moment and it is dull and damp after a beautiful day yesterday. Never mind , off to Lanhydrock today.

Falconbird Thu 13-Aug-15 09:42:19

Welcome back Mick. I'm worried about Windows 10. My son says it arrives on your computer and you have to deal with it?

baubles Thu 13-Aug-15 09:42:03

Ah that's a relief, good to see you back Mick.

Sunny day here, may go out for the day.

joannapiano Thu 13-Aug-15 09:39:53

Glad it was just a computer blip that kept you away, Mick.
We have a friend with a Dell computer who downloaded Windows 10 this week, and it crashed immediately.
Fine and dry here in Herts at the moment. No DGC here today, after 3 days of skate park and sandpit visits. Missing them already!

annsixty Thu 13-Aug-15 09:33:26

nan starting next Wed I have two visiting guinea pigs for a couple of weeks and they can poo for England. They are nice little things but I breathe a sigh of relief when they are picked up.

nannotgran Thu 13-Aug-15 09:27:02

ANNno they are not unfortunately. They are on holiday so ive got this job again next week never mindit keeps me busy

daffydil Thu 13-Aug-15 09:08:30

Good morning Mick and everyone.
I downloaded Windows 10. My computer skills are fairly basic and it took me while to find my way around but I am more at home with it now though I haven't decided whether to stick with it or go back to Windows 7.
Anyway, here in mid Essex we have not yet had the storms forecast but it is looking fairly threatening.

whitewave Thu 13-Aug-15 09:02:33

Humid here in Brighton, thunder overnight and more to come by the look of it.

Welcome back Mick you put us all in a tizzy when you disappear.

ffinnochio Thu 13-Aug-15 08:53:28

Bonjour Mick, and glad your absence wasn't because of illness.

Terrific storms last night, yet still hot and humid. Garden damage was minimal. Wet cushions, broken pots and geraniums. I've taken cuttings from all the snapped off geranium stems and plonked them in another pot. The flowers are now in a vase, so all was not lost. smile

Indinana Thu 13-Aug-15 08:50:06

Welcome back, good to know your absence wasn't because of illness smile.

Well, after a beautiful sunny day yesterday, we are back to the normal mode of dull and rainy here in the South West. Going to DD's to look after baby this afternoon while she takes her black lab to the vet for a dental check. She's also getting a lump checked out that she's found on the lab's flank - we're all hoping this is just a lipoma, and nothing sinister.

PRINTMISS Thu 13-Aug-15 08:43:52

Good to have you back again, glad it was only computeritis! We have all been concerned for you. Weather wise, we had the promised storm in the night, and it does not look promising now, seems to be the norm these days. Surely we must have some good weather due soon.

annsixty Thu 13-Aug-15 08:36:15

nan are your GC still small enough to fit in hamster cages grin Sorry I couldn't resist it.

Juliette Thu 13-Aug-15 08:25:16

Glad you're back Mick safe and well.
Overcast here in N.Staffs, disappointing after yesterday's glimpse of summer. Getting sorted today for going on holiday tomorrow.

Have a lovely day everyone.

annsixty Thu 13-Aug-15 08:24:02

Good morning all.
I don't know if you realised just how many virtual friends you have Mick it is good you are back and are well. Cloudy but warm here in Stockport after very hot yesterday and a perfect evening. I was too tired to stay up for the meteors, maybe tonight!!

annodomini Thu 13-Aug-15 08:17:07

Good to have you back Mick. It's an extremely humid morning here in Cheshire and don't think rain can be far off. I'm having my smart meters installed, so had to get up earlier than usual.

Pittcity Thu 13-Aug-15 08:04:16

We have missed you mick, I think we have all suffered from a touch of the Microsofts at some time!
Grey here in #Colchester and rain due at some time. Off to London so brolly in bag!

nannotgran Thu 13-Aug-15 08:01:14

What are they and where did they come ftom ?

hildajenniJ Thu 13-Aug-15 08:00:21

Good morning Mick, good to have you back, you were missed by all.
Good morning everyone else.
Weather in my part of Northumberland is foggy. It looks like, and feels like Autumn. If that's the case we missed Summer altogether. Remind me to book a holiday abroad somewhere warm for next year!
Not much planned for today, just the usual housework.

nannotgran Thu 13-Aug-15 07:59:29

Welcome back mickwe have missed you
very grey sky this morning in north essex and rain forcast for later.
I am going to attempt to clean out 2 hamster cages
