My DS facetimed me last night and there was my dgd (3), in tears, in bed, wanting a hug with Nana!

Nine year old DGS and I were discussing death, after asking me how old my grandmother was when she died, and he said,
" I hope you become the oldest Nanny ever."
Sweet.

Three year old DGS to my DD, "Mummy, I quite like you, I think I'll keep you."

My 16 month old GS switches on the computer and shouts "Anmaa" when he wants to talk to me and then tries to give me things through the screen and kisses me through the screen. When his parents tell him to say goodbye his face changes and he puts on his stubborn look and simply refuses. Wonderful as they live abroad and we don't seem them that often.

DS1, as a toddler, had a bad cough and was keeping himself and his parents awake all night. In an interval between coughts, he looked up at me and said, "My precious mummy". How could I ever forget that? He's 44 now, a dad himself and still a very precious son.

My granddaughter (who was 14 at the time) said to me 'nan you are the nicest person I know' - best not tell her mum!

My autistic DGS2 has a speech delay and is very difficult to understand, but when he wraps his arms around me and gives me a big hug is just the best feeling.

My beautiful grand-daughter left me a message outside the backdoor tonight - written in beautiful chalk-shades it read : I LOVE YOU.... I will sleep well tonight

Aww. That's very sweet. Lucky you LouLou. I have to be content wth a casual "love you" tossed back at me when I say, "night night - love you".
