I confess...

...I love Jeremy Corbyn. I've tried to fight it. I've tried to listen to my head. The Labour Party won't get elected with him in charge etc. etc. but I can't help it. My heart has won.

When it comes to my union vote I will be voting for Jeremy. I don't want a Labour Party that is a Tory or Liberal clone. I don't want a leader who says to Dave, "I see where you're coming from and if you just tweak it slightly we'll vote with you or at least won't vote against you."

I want a leader that says, "Dave, you're wrong and I will do everything in my power to make sure the people in this country understand that."

They say confession is good for the soul. Have you got a confession to make?

Perhaps you secretly listen to One Direction.
Maybe you watch Dr Quinn Medicine Woman.
Do you think about other things when someone boring is talking to you and just say, "Hmm," "Yes," or, "Really," and hope it's the right answer?

We all have little secrets that we hide. What's yours?

Anniebach Confession is good for the soul smile Maybe I will come to my senses now that I've confessed!

I rather fancy the actor who played Gene Hunt in Life on Mars. He is not good looking but has a certain magnetism. Can someone help a poor old duffer to remember his name please.

Anniebach Tue 11-Aug-15 23:46:09

KatyK, surely he would be so boring to spend time with , he isn't bad looking to be fair to him . I think you are very brave

KatyK Wed 12-Aug-15 10:51:17

Yes Annie I agree he would be a complete 'up himself' bore. NanKate the actor is Philip Glenister and I agree with you he is rather dishy. smile

Tegan Wed 12-Aug-15 16:19:58

Philip Glenister is rather milking his Life on Mars character. Years ago he played the sweet, adorable William Dobbin in the tv adaptation of Vanity Fair. What he's like in real life is anybodys guess. The question is do we fall in love with the Gene Hunts or William Dobbins of this world?

Tegan Wed 12-Aug-15 16:22:24

..and, on the subject of finding people attractive there's someone floating around in my life at the moment that I daren't even acknowledge to myself that I find them attractive blush.

Margsus Wed 12-Aug-15 17:00:59

My guilty pleasure is Ray Winstone and I don't for the life of me know why!

rosesarered Wed 12-Aug-15 17:02:06

Please say it's not Jeremy Corbyn Tegan?

Coolgran65 Wed 12-Aug-15 17:15:19

I also like Ray Winstone.
Also Sam Elliott, American Actor.
Michael McConnaghie, actor
Martin Shaw, actor
smile

Wish it was roses....

Tegan Wed 12-Aug-15 17:54:15

...nothing sinister, by the way; just a really silly crush the like of which I'd forgotten existed blush...

KatyK Wed 12-Aug-15 18:09:51

I think that's rather exciting Tegan. I can't imagine having a crush on someone now - life has got in the way of all that sad As you say, what these people are like in real life is anyone's guess. I was 'in love' with George Harrison for years (still am a bit). I obviously had no clue what he was like. I enjoyed it all though smile

Anniebach Wed 12-Aug-15 18:37:28

Denzil Washington

Grannyeggs Wed 12-Aug-15 18:51:13

Ana I bet I saw him first!!

Anniebach Wed 12-Aug-15 18:53:00

Sorry no Ana, I have waited for years for him to sit on my bed and quote Yates to me , even have a book of Yates next to my pillow ready for him

Ana Wed 12-Aug-15 18:55:08

He can say anything he likes to me - not necessarily poetry either! grin

Envious Wed 12-Aug-15 19:28:13

I could listen to Martin Clunes all day and night! If I was looking into Paul Newmans eyes in his heyday I'd forget to breathe! I appreciate the handsome men but also like men like Daniel Craig. Some just can't be described!

NanKate Wed 12-Aug-15 19:59:43

How about Cillian Murphy who played Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders ? His eyes were mesmerising and perhaps other parts of him too. blush 'ooh you are awful' .

Tegan Wed 12-Aug-15 20:15:13

I agree about Cillian Murphy, although one of the most attractive things about him is the fact that he's happily married with two children. I went off Johnny Depp straight away when he split up from his wife. I was very taken with William Hurt who played George in 'Humans' even though he was playing such an old person; I think I was captivated by his voice.

NanKate Wed 12-Aug-15 22:05:18

I agree Tegan it's nice to celebrate well known couples who stick together.

Tv:- Don't be tardy for the wedding.

Person:- German comedian, Henning Wehn

KatyK Thu 13-Aug-15 10:37:45

oo yes. Cillian Murphy. I forgot about him. Gorgeous. He narrated a wildlife series recently and even his voice was mesmerising..

fluttERBY123 Thu 13-Aug-15 12:28:11

Long live Neighbours! Can't be without it especially since we had to stop watching 'stenders. Was unable to suspend disbelief any longer and I hate all those people in the pub.

Tegan Fri 14-Aug-15 08:34:04

It was the programme about the Atlantic KateK. I saw a bit of it the other week and thought it was fascinating [and beautifully filmed] but didn't notice that he was the narrator. Decided to watch the whole series on catchup last night and realised it was him [sigh]. Trouble is, then started imagining him doing the narration in his Tommy Shelby Brummie accent and I can't get that out of my head now. I used to be so bored by any wildlife programmes that were about the sea but, over the past few years the filming has been so awesome that they've probably become my favourite programmes now. I still can't get my head round the fact that some fish actually go to sleep [I knew that whales did, but not fish].
