Ciao all, very hot here and when we came home from Cassino the mountain nearby was blazing! The helicopters have belatedly arrived to tackle the fire! Everything outside is covered in ash and the air stinks.

Good afternoon everyone, I'm hoping Mick will be back soon too.
Having a very lazy afternoon in the sun as a reward for clearing my oven this morning hmm
Not confessing how long since last time!

whitewave Sat 08-Aug-15 12:30:51

I'll blow some sun up to you

KatyK Sat 08-Aug-15 12:29:21

They promised us beautiful sunshine in Birmingham. We have dull and cloudy sad

Morning all, bright, sunny and warm in the Tees Valley, you might be fooled into thinking it was summer!

Done the upstairs cleaning this morning, just off to collect car from garage, then we'll have lunch. We've got a trip to the seaside with the dog to fit in plus making the cakes for great-niece's 3rd birthday party tomorrow.

Pleased to hear Mick is OK. Speedy return Mick.

Just finished some housework and sat with coffee in the garden. The most beautiful day. A perfect summers day.

harrigran Sat 08-Aug-15 11:04:54

Bellanonna posted last night and said " I gather all is well " so someone has been in contact.

harrigran Sat 08-Aug-15 11:02:00

Good morning, lovely day here. Off to Durham for lunch with sister and BIL.
I thought I read last night that Mick had been in contact with someone, a PM maybe.

Blazing sun and just off to the Black Mountains for a birthday picnic for DD2 - all the DDs and all the GC will be there so I am hoping for a group photo!

I am a bit out of touch here - is Mick poorly?

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Teenage DS has gone shopping with his sister so I ventured into his bedroom with the hoover. Only 3 spiders this time!

Morning all. Hoping Mick will be back with us soon.

Another bright, sunny morning here.
I'll be busy baking and decorating a birthday cake today.

daffydil Sat 08-Aug-15 09:17:53

Good morning all.
I agree we should keep this thread going. I can't get out as much as I would like and saying good morning to GN friends makes me feel more in touch with the wider world. Hopefully we will be welcoming Mick back soon.
Anyway a lovely day here in mid Essex. Visit from DGD and great grandson this afternoon which I am looking forward to.

Another one hoping that Mick is back here soon, safe and well.

Lovely sunny morning in N.Staffs just how August should be. The football season starts today plus the cricket is in full swing so that will be DH sorted for the afternoon....plonked in front of the telly. I may go and do some light shopping!

Enjoy your party kitty hope everyone else has a good day.

nannotgran Sat 08-Aug-15 08:38:54

ninathenana Sat 08-Aug-15 08:31:42

Morning all.
It promises to be another lovely day today (24c yesterday).
We are going to Great Compton Gardens today, not been before.

Come home to GN soon Mick.

Lona Sat 08-Aug-15 08:31:26

Sunny and fresh here, it makes you feel so much better doesn't it?
Exercise class followed by coffee with my fellow sufferers grin this morning.

HappyNan1 Sat 08-Aug-15 08:27:18

Missing Mick, it's just not the same without him.

My lovely friend is coming to stay for a few days and I'm so excited, have baked the cakes. The wine is chilling (for tonight) and the sun is shining. Bliss.

Good morning! I was pleased to see this thread but sad to see it wasn't started by Mick. Good idea PRINTMISS to maintain the title.

It is bright with high cloud here in North Leicestershire this morning. This is a good thing as we are having a party at lunchtime for DH's birthday and we will be able to encourage the children to go outside! grin

Enjoy your days everyone and maybe today we will hear from Mick!

hildajenniJ Sat 08-Aug-15 08:24:20

Thank you PRINTMISS. I was just about to start the good morning thread.
Well, good morning everyone.
Beautiful start in Northumberland. Sunshine and clear blue skies. A day made for relaxing in the garden, which is what I plan to do.
Have a lovely day all.

thatbags Sat 08-Aug-15 08:22:28

Morning, folks! DD and family are getting ready yo go and see the great-grandparents in Dundee. Kids need so much clobber – books, toys...

Hoping all well, or being made well, with Mick flowers

PRINTMISS Sat 08-Aug-15 08:19:14

I just feel for Mick's sake we should keep this thread going, and hope that if he can he will join us again, in the mean time, we have a lovely day on the coast again, and I am off to play bowls, just hope it does not get too hot. Enjoy your days.
