I was looking online for the best way of complaining about our brand new cooker with a whistling grill - not a melodic, happy, let's-all-join-in type of whistle. No it's a low volume, high-pitched, ear-piercing whistle which renders the grill unusable other than in ten second bursts.

Where was I? Oh yes, while looking online, I came across this, which I found amusing enough to make me calm down and decide to rephrase parts of my almost-libellous complaints letter (I'm waiting for the third engineer's visit angry )

Apologies to those who don't like links, but it's far too long to post the whole thing smile

That was funny, Mini. I wonder if there are any more exchanges like that online? smile

Very amusing - loved the idea of the cherries being dropped from a height grin

Wonderful grin

I love the idea that 'Tracey' would consider changing her job to that iof cherry dropper because it 'sounds like fun' !!

Oooops......Tesco have a wonderful employee.

Coolgran65 I wonder if the CEO is as wonderful? I've just sent my complaint to him direct!

wondering if Tracey is really phoenix in a previous job, or even in disguise as Tomgrin

I love it! I had a complaint yesterday, and used the online chat. Young Rob was almost as hilarious, but I shall spare his blushes!

Hello! Did I "hear" my name?

Sorry, I cannot claim responsibility for that, but very much wish I could! grin

I loved it! It seems that it was my local Tesco. I can assure you that there isn't a posh end of Blackbird Leys! Some lovely people live there, but it is an area which keeps the Police force very busy!

I'm very surprised that Tracey is allowed time to be creative with her replies to customers' complaints, or, more likely, she isn't but was bored and sneaked in her replies while the slave-driver at Tesco was on her lunch break.
I naturally assume that every Tesco employee is on a minimum wage, zero hours contract and has to work on Christmas Day plus every Infants' Nativity and Sports Day. Possibly they're granted unpaid leave for serious operations and close relatives' funerals.
I believe their staff get an annual party, paid for out of Tesco's savings from not paying their taxes. At this bun-fight they serve cherry Bakewells with misaligned cherries and bargain sausage rolls (SPECIAL OFFER! WAS £1.99, NOW ONLY 2 FOR £4.99!)
The CEO won't get your complaint as he's away spending his bonus.

apricot I'm employing a two-pronged approach! I'm already in direct contact with the MD of the manufacturing company - a Guaranteed Delivery letter seemed to do the trick. Another one will be winging its way tomorrow! Now, I've also emailed the CEO of the retailer. I'm afraid my missives are seriously lacking in humour grin Possibly the amount of humour is in a ratio proportionate to the amount of £££ spent wink
