We have had an amazing day here in Oxford.. I walked in and out of town , around 3 miles, in my hoodie, and Oh Lord, it's a rediculous heat lol.. Sorry to hear that you've all had cloud or rain,, hope it improves for your weekend ..

Weather in mid Essex can't make up its mind though I think (hope?) the sun is winning. Tea and gossip at a friend's this afternoon.

Daughter's birthday today and they are all coming over tomorrow for a meal in the garden hopefully.

Cooking today -
menu smoked salmon quiche, quiche lorraine, tossed garlic chicken, pan fried courgette salad, shredded lettuce salad, mixed vegetable platter. Followed by ice cream sundaes and Birthday Cake which I am not making that will be from M&S.

Nothing has happened weather wise in the bit of East Sussex, no clouds, no hail, no thunder. Very disappointed as I love a good thunder storm.

The clouds here are beginning to break and the sun is trying to get through. I have not managed to see Dad all week and am feeling a little guilty. Today my DH says he wants to throw a picnic together, gather up the dog and go to Silloth. (On the Solway coast). Poor Dad, I feel I am neglecting him but today is the only day off my DH has this week and I feel I should spend it with him. Oh what a dilemma! .

It's just started raining here and is very dark and gloomy to the south. Windfinder Weather says it should clear up around lunchtime. Hopefully it's right as we're supposed to be taking our new (to us) little boat down river to meet up with some friends. It'll be one way to make sure the wipers work I suppose!

Good morning from a dark stormy Colchester. What a difference a day makes!
Family day today, minding DGS . Taking him to his swimming lesson this afternoon and then out for dinner as it's DS' birthday.

It's only slightly overcast here in my little corner of Devon. It's the Wonderful man's birthday today and he thinks I'm taking him out for the day - I've left various wine tasting tours up on my laptop. In fact our two sons are taking him on a kayaking trip to include a barbecue lunch and then we're all going out for a big family meal this evening. Tomorrow he's going camping with our daughter and grandsons.

Well, ninathenana..your thunder rumbling in the distance was right overhead here in Epsom !! 5.30 this morning the first flash of lightening and then the most almighty crash of thunder....gave us such a jump ! then two more crashes .. then came the down pour.

Now it's grey and muggy and more rain forecast...not good for all the folks going to Ladies day The Oaks on Epsom Downs ... though the Derby day weather looks better.
