Oh dear, I hope you`re both OK, Soop and Anno. At least you haven`t bashed your face to smithereens this time Soop, although the hip and knee must be painful. I dread falling since I had my knee done, I saw the result of someone breaking her new thigh whilst I was in hospital, they told her that it would be a lot worse having it re-done.

Bella my sister said after the rush of the funeral was over, she felt very down, that's when it sinks in. I'm glad you have your little DGD to take your mind off it a bit. Vent away, maybe writing it down as a diary would help?

Galen one day those neighbours will need help. I can't help thinking an ambulance service would be useful though.

Heavens - everyone in the wars! Hope some of this sunshine will be a balm for the troubled and battered Gnetters.

Bella - housework is always bottom of my list - your lovely GC comes first - I hope she lifts your spirits.

We went over to DDs for lunch and a afternoon in the sunny garden with little DGS racing around in the nude. The housework is still waiting!

Dear Kitcheners may I put in a sincere plea that you will all take more care ? Soop, Galen, Anno, glamma - you are going down like ninepins and it is NOT sensible at our age! Even if it requires more tonic/water in whatever your tipple is, don't let the tipple topple you over

Bella perhaps your DC think you will find housework therapeutic? I would put them right forthwith, but bear in mind a) it doesn't matter and b) if it is bothering you, draw up a list and dish out their jobs to them. Seriously, I hope having family with you at this difficult time will bring you support and strength. We will be thinking of you on Monday.

I hope all of you are feeling ok today and wearing your crash helmets and knee pads to avoid more injuries. I did the splits in the garden last month and really mucked up my dodgy knee. Walked with a stick for three weeks and now my knee has never been better - the fall must have shifted some of the debris that was in there. Every cloud!

So many falls - and it is not even icy! I am very nervous of falling since I broke my foot - it all happened so quickly and even now I have only the haziest of recollections of how it happened - perhaps the entonox I was given might account for the amnesia!

Where is this blazing sun that was forecast? - has anyone got it?

Off for a mammogram today - first find your boob!

Soop, how are all your bruises? And Galen, are you being extra careful? I'm fine - hard headed in more ways than one. Tomorrow meeting up with sister in Palma, hoping for some warm sunshine before she goes back to NZ winter. There's nothing like airport security for taking the shine off a holiday. In Edinburgh last week, my hip and shoulder, as usual, set off the alarms; I went through the x-ray cubicle which I thought would be the end of it. Oh no! I had to submit to being thoroughly patted down, even to the extent of the woman feeling along the wires under my bra. Rightly or wrongly, I felt demeaned. Manchester at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Hoping for better luck there.

Oh dear! Please step more warily Granspals. We are not the nimble young things we used to be and we certainly don't bounce back and heal as quickly and a comfy sofa to relax on while you repair.

Dear Bella. I agree with the others, s*d the housework. Do what you want to do when you feel like doing anything which doesn't need to be housework. Enjoy your time with your DGD and find comfort being with her.

I do hope that you are all feeling better after your falls and that apart from Glamma, there is no lasting damage except to the ego.

I am so lucky, I have a fan club of three ages 4, 7 and 8 and they wanted to help me trim the two bushes close to my front door. I clipped and threw all cuttings on to the ground and my fan club fought to pick them up and put them in the correct bin. A task which would have taken me 2 hours took around 20 minutes- they were so good. The two mothers should be so proud of them.

It is a glorious sunny day here in NW London. I am waiting for the heating engineer to service my boiler- I am on top of all the tasks this year for once. He is only charging £40.

Anno I had real problems at Edinburgh as well, only mine was with a very rude easyjet woman. The answer to the alarm thing is to book wheelchair assistance.

I'm a bit sore today and still a little shaky. I also can't stop crying.

Oh Galen. I'm not surprised you are a bit shaky and weepy. You have had a frightening experience and probably feeling quite vulnerable too.

I know you are a music lover so, try to relax and listen to some of your favourite pieces. Music always lifts my spirits, hope it helps you a bit today too.

Charley, yes I do tell them about the implanted joints and no, they don't take much notice of that - except for a very nice man in Auckland!

Oh Galen that's hardly surprising, any fall shakes you up and I'm so sorry you're feeling weepy, it must have been very frightening for you. I hope you will feel better soon.

Galen you have been having a tough time lately, no wonder you feel so upset and shaky. Try to rest and I hope you will feel stronger soon.

I think the final straw has been Cunard. I book a princess grill cabin and pay double for single accupancy. Anne would now like to join me 'yes that's possible' say Cunard! ' it will cost £4000 extra' the fee I have paid is double that. They're trying to charge twice for the cabin..

As I will never be parting with any of my hard earned cash to the CARNIVAL corp, i would just say that they seem to be past masters at extorting every penny from the punters who sail with them, and appeal to the snob cachet that posh' cruising 'entails.

Hope you are saving all your pennies, water instead of wine etc, LIDL instead of Waitrose.

Well the power of perseverance. I googled ' how to complain to Cunard' and found a number for complaints. Spoke to very nice lady who said that that was nonsense. She can share my cabin at no extra cost and join at Monacco where she will be joining her darling daughter for a few days.
Mind you she had to check with the berthing people first to see if the ship could manage one extra person? She's not that big!

Well done Galen, but I bet you could have done without that extra stress and frustration.
Perhaps Bella will get VIP treatment, greeted by the Captain etc?
