Tucked up in bed with nice cuppa and the ipad. Eee, that were a good day.

Sounds as if you had a great day!

Just going to ask you what you did and lo and behold - sounds good to me

Glad you had a good day.

Good for you, Katek! Glad you enjoyed it.

Had a fab day....shopping and cake! Came back with new bedroom rug and lovely navy/floral print swing dress from Next sale. Very forgiving which is good as only other thing I bought was the cake! Brought in fresh pasta for tonight as I'm now tired out.

Have a lovely day doing exactly what you please KateK. And enjoy that carrot cake wink

Explore a new lane in town, enter a shop that you normally wouldn't bother with. Have fun.

*tidied

Right-showered, dressed, house tidie, now where are the car keys? There's a piece of carrot cake out there somewhere with my name on it!

Oh now that is what I miss - the sheer pleasure of having a rare free day. They're all free these days, since I retired grin. I also miss the 'Friday feeling' (but not the Monday morning one!).
It is so easy to do as Soutra describes and waste the day. I'm doing that right now, when what I really must go and do is make a little folding mini album to house all the 'Fairy Godmother Wishes' that I plan to collect from all my daughter's friends at her baby shower. I've got all the materials gathered, so no excuse....

It's a well known fact that lunches out contain no calories wink

posie Wed 13-May-15 10:20:27

That should obviously have said forget the swimming

Soutra Wed 13-May-15 10:20:20

I might take myself off to a NT property or some beauty spot that I have been promising myself I would visit, or do the "tourist thing" somewhere. A nice lunch and tea with no calorie counting might also feature! Maybe shopping, but it gets depressing as there's a lot of tat and summer clothes IMHO are very hit and miss.
What I would probably do, is look at the ironing pile/laundry/garden in despair, make another coffee, go on GN or play Cookie Crunch and kick myself after for WASTING the day. You know what you have to do -go girl!sunshine

posie Wed 13-May-15 10:19:00

Oh well, if you really need new clothes you can quite easily stretch the shopping into an all day job. Forget the shopping & the "light" lunch. You're obviously going to need something more substantial for all that hard work! wink

A free day? Whatsat?

A day that doesn't cost anything or a day when you have nothing on the agenda?

Any idea where I can get one of these from please?

Katek Wed 13-May-15 10:08:02

Aha!! I like the shopping Posie....and the lunch! Could do with some new jeans.

kittylester Wed 13-May-15 10:03:37

My garden [#everhopefulemoticon]grin

You can fit a bit of sewing in anytime. How about shopping (even if it's only looking & admiring) light lunch, then swimming later? or vice versa.

whitewave Wed 13-May-15 09:45:04

I do all those at some time as I am retired!!! Past master at free days!

Katek Wed 13-May-15 09:40:45

I have that rarest of things for me....a free day! Now I've got it I'm not sure what to do with it! I could x stitch I suppose, but I'm not inspired. Swimming? Or just be a slob and veg out with ipad and tv?
