and among all the programmes we had kept for years to rewatch was The Beach Boys at Knebworth - it was brilliant and always brought a smile to our faces. I hope it is on again so we can rerecord it.

DH will also miss all the tributes to Brian Clough (or God!) that he insisted on keeping AND the final episode of Homeland from about a year ago that 'I'll get round to sometime'.

We've also lost The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child which I loved but scared the live-in DGC. I'm sure I'll remember lots of other things as time goes on.

Does anyone else keep things and rewatch them or is it just us?

We have five hard drive recorders and I would say that each one is half full of must keep programmes. I only keep children's films though, the rest get deleted after viewing.

We have cable but do wonder at times about sky - Atlantic seems to get good stuff but is it worth it just for one channel?

We don't record anything!
I use iplayer if missed a programme otherwise just miss out I suppose!

Sometimes think I'd like Sky but only for documentaries like History or National Geographical.

DH watches (often with his eyes closed!) enough crap anything and everything, drives me potty grin

I just have Freesat couldn't get TV without it and it doesn't cost anything. I don't record anything if I miss something I would watch it on my laptop.

We record a lot of programs, especially ITV etc, so that we can skip ads.

I don't record anything , we don't have Sky just Freeview. I watch anything I've missed on any of the catchup channels or iplayer sometimes on the (smart tv) ipad or laptop..in fact I don't actually watch much 'live' tv apart from the News anymore..

When our Sky HD box died we decided not to report it, and we cancelled our subscription. We now watch free view channels and we bought a roku internet streaming box. It let's us watch BBCiplayer, ITVplayer 4OD etc. We also pay for Netflix. We had loads recorded on the Sky box, but I can honestly say that I haven't missed it.
