Welcome back PRINTMISS, glad you are well, albeit a bit tired, take it easy and enjoy the weather down there on there on the lovely Sussex coast.

Good morning, another lovely sunny day. DH just coming in after dropping my sister at the airport. I had hoped to have progressed beyond my computer for his return but didn't quite make it grin

I hope your thumb feels better soon, Nellie. When mine was bad, I used to sleep with my hand under the pillow to keep it warm! A great hand surgeon put it right and it hasn't given me a minute's trouble since - though I did have to give the car a long rest post op. Still grey here today - can't see even a little patch of blue. sad

Dull again in N.Staffs. We only had a glimpse of the sun yesterday, looks like today is going to be the same.
I sympathise with you Nelliemoser I have the same problem with my middle finger, can't pick my cup up this morning.
Perhaps it's the weather. confused

Pity me, people, I am off to the dreaded IKEA today. I usually get hopelessly lost, can't find the stuff I went for and end up coming home with useless stuff that looks great in the shop. grin

What is most concerning is the driving. My next DGS is due in a week and I am on call out for "Granny mind the toddler" duty. Doing my Jeans up is not easy.

Sorry, meant to say hope your thumb improves Nellie, we don't realise how much we use our bodies, until something goes wrong!

Good morning all . It's a dull start here in East Northants after several glorious days. Hope joint pain is improving Nellie flowers.
Enjoy Thursday everyone.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The sun was not forecast yesterday but it is not expected to be as warm as yesterday.
I am suffer with hayfever, but can't complain after reading some of the above posts.
Isn't Gransnet great for letting us get stuff out?

Good morning to you all, and I have just popped in to say hello, and thank you to Annsixty and Terribull for their kind thoughts. I am fine, thank you, just a bit weary I think - can't really be bothered with anything, although I am enjoying the garden since the other half can't drive because of his cataract operation (thank goodness that is out of the way), so we have not been out and about as much as usual, and plenty of time for the garden. I didn't even enter for any of the bowls competitions this year, so I think I must just be getting a little old. Still enjoying playing though and we are outdoors now, which I love. We have a beautiful morning on the coast, we do have the best of the weather here, I think. Enjoy your days.

Good morning all, it's a sunny start here but the sky is very murky through the trees!
Going for lunch with my bestie before she nips off on holiday and I will be having a large wine! Much needed!

Hope your thumb stops aching Nellie, this changeable weather doesn't seem to help with joint pain.
Enjoy your lunch kitty wine

kittylester Thu 16-Apr-15 07:26:50

Morning all!

Dull here in North Leicestershire and the forecast is not as good as the last few days have been! It's Thursday and I am not going to Sainsbury's, which will be very confusing! DH and I are going for lunch with a couple of his friends from university. wine

Hope your thumb feels better soon Nellie and hope all is ok Nina!

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

Good morning all.
Can't judge the weather yet but it never brightened up yesterday and was chilly all day. We have both been summoned for blood tests this morning, our surgery is perhaps getting it's act together at last. They specified fasting ones which I thought were old hat, so I will be starving by 9:30. grin

Brendawymms Thu 16-Apr-15 07:17:05

Good morning all. Now only two hours ahead of UK. JUst sailed from Yemen waters to Saudi waters so pirate risk less.
Fresher weather than of late. Only mid 20's rather than mid 30's.
Home in two weeks Sunday. Miss you all.

ninathenana Thu 16-Apr-15 07:05:30

Morning all

Looks promising her in N Kent.

We unexpectedly had youngest DGS to stay last night. He's not stayed without his brother since he was a baby. He went to bed without a sound bless him. Up at 6.15 though smile

Good morning all!
Its very rare for me to start this thread off. I am not usually up this early. It's rather cloudy in Cheshire but too early to judge the weather.

I have been lying awake with my arthritic left thumb really aching. It has suddenly got worse and now has a coldpack on it. I don't know what I have done, I can usually get it moving with gentle exercise. I use my right hand far more and that is ok. Pulling up the hand brake on my car is difficult.

Moan over enjoy your day.
