Pure as the driven whatsit, that's me Lona! Please may I have a piece of your delicious cream sponge?
I am very glad you managed your keys problem. DH has TWICE lost his whole bunch whilst out on his bike. I've threatened to not allow him any of his own if he loses the third bunch!
I'd love a cuppa thanks, and here's a fresh cream sponge, light as air and calorie free as usual!
I've just got home after shopping and couldn't get the front door to unlock! I thought I'd been burgled at first, but the Chubb key had distorted teeth and wouldn't work. Don't know how that happened! Anyway, I rooted out my spare keys and they worked! Phew! I was imagining an expensive call out charge and new locks.
I think we need to keep an eye on pompa not to mention gagagran!!!!
I'm on a baking roll, here's a plate of chocolate and cream eclairs, I'm sure tomorrow's Church Fayre won't miss a few! Kettle is on, so enjoy one with a Enjoy!
Okey dokey...I'm back and there has been so much activity in our Kitchen since yesterday, that I'm having to do a few jobs before I settle down to catch up with you lot. I do hope that you've been happy and peaceful in my absence. As for pompa...
I caught sight of the word 'flapjack' ...I shall return later to enjoy one with a .
It's taken me all this time to scamble up off the floor after the snakes and ladders with pompa and I can assure you Iam NO liberties were taken! (It would have been quite nice had they been!)
The M&S biscuits and the flapjack are most restorative - thank-you and there's a fresh pot of coffee to go with them I see. Hurrah!
Did I hear flapjacks mentioned? I'll just test them, with a cup of coffee if there's one going.
DD1 SiL are coming for a week tomorrow and we have decided that it will be simpler if we give them our bedroom while they are visiting. DH has moved our bedside chest of drawers and now I must decide what else we really need and can't do without for a week.
pompa -- you are a taker of liberties, but we love you.
I've brought some M&S biscuits as I'm still suffering from the chest infection, so baking isn't going to happen for a while. GP wonderful, a further week of antibiotics and rest. Rest - it's all I can do frankly, so I'll sit quietly in the corner, share these delicious biscuits and a pot of tea I've smuggled in.
Violets - I have a pot in my coldframe, containing a tender shrub, and the pot is smothered in pink violets. I was thinking how lovely it was when I turned and saw on my way back to the house that it has also seeded itself into the cracks in the patio.
Violets do have a smell, but you can only smell it for a second, then it has gone. It's something to do with a chemical they give off.
I love flapjacks loopylou and please could I have a decaff. We have lots of violets but they don't seem to have any perfume, or maybe it's me losing my sense of smell, other things smell ok though.
pompa there are more relaxing places for you and Gagagran to sit- you do not have to hide from us lot here. The pair of you should enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee, with or without a flapjack.
Here's a tin of flapjacks, the coffee percolator is bubbling and there's a bunch of violets on the window sill for you to sniff inhale the perfume so relax everyone .......
No politics here, please! We are all in this kitchen thanks to soop and it would be an abuse of her wonderful hospitality to allow any controversial allusions to intrude. Peace!
