Thanks dusty. I have been better! Seem to have had a succession of infections etc since November. Sinus and chest this time. I don't think those pollen-spreading birches are doing me any favours either. Anyway, I'm on my feet and have been out to buy yet more tissues! I should have shares in Kleenex.

Welcome to the world Nelliemoser's new grandson Leo William. Such a lovely name. Many congratulations to the proud parents. flowers in abundance. xxx

number dear, for goodness sake, let us hope that the aids your husband needs will be sorted before very much longer. You must have the patience of a saint. sunshine

Bellasnana it's a fact that children do occasionally "sound off" from time to time...usually when in a public place. You are a marvellous Nana and have more than enough problems to cope with, so please don't dwell on what happened. Your dear husband is where he can be best cared for. You need to care for yourself too. If I could, I would without hesitation, pamper you. You deserve unlimited tender loving care.

pompa grin Your company is fun.

Iam64 keep taking the tablets. We want you to feel well again very soon.

Thank you for being such kindly Kitcheners. You lot make my day complete.

Hello folks, been fiddling about in the garden most of the day. Bit worried atm, my good hip has started getting painful, I hope it will go off with some anti inflammatory pills, otherwise I could be looking at another THR.
Elegran/Annsixty, kitchen is certainly the place to all chill together, leave all those grumpy threads to others.

dustyangel Tue 28-Apr-15 16:01:58

X posts with Iam I'm glad you are getting better as well.

dustyangel Tue 28-Apr-15 15:58:56

I've come straight into the kichen from the chiropodist who was running late, so I'm walking on air, lovely feeling, well worth the wait.

anno you sound as if you've been really poorly! I hope feel better now. flowers

nellie what lovely news. Congratulations to you and your DD flowers

The only thing I have brought into the kitchen is some sunshine DD and DSiL are lying out in the sun at the moment despite a very gusty wind. It's good to see them recharging their batteries. smile

The chest infection seems to be responding to the 3rd lot of antibiotics. I even drove the doodle dogs to the park and walked with them for 20 minutes - a miracle.

I have treated us to a fruit loaf and made a pot of tea to go with it. Just about the right time for a little something.

annodomini Tue 28-Apr-15 15:12:52

It's been raining on and off all day, but as the clouds are now higher and less threatening, I've taken a chance and hung out some washing. I've been waiting to hear from the man who does odd jobs and gardening. He said he would come today to replace my broken fence panels but no show! I thought at least he could text me. I need to go out an buy some more tissues. I think I have now been through six large boxes in the past week. Meanwhile, have a scone and honey. They are not my best scones. Perhaps you need to be in prime health to bake them!

Elegran Tue 28-Apr-15 14:57:00

Thank heaven for an argument-free zone. If you would like some rockbuns help yourself. Hot from the oven with plenty of sultanas. Is there any hot chocolate? It is p***ing down here and the temperature has plummeted. I potted on the hellebores and pinks that arrived yesterday and lined them up at the garage window and came in just in time to miss the rain.

annsixty Tue 28-Apr-15 14:32:40

I have come into this nice non-contentious kitchen as I have upset some people but no more of that. It is a lovely sunny day now but such a cold wind after an unsettled morning. So sorry your life is so difficult Bella you have your own and many others share of problems. To all others with DH's and their own aches and pains to cope with I send good wishes andflowers. Love the new baby's names nellieM

soop, sorry to hear your shoulder is playing up again. At one time I had CT in both shoulders but as can happen, it has somehow cleared up in my right side but my left shoulder has never completely cleared. I am managing ok whilst on strong painkillers and anti inflamatories at the moment so my appointment today with an orthopod will give me a diagnosis as to what the next step will be as the injections are no longer working.

If possible and not too painful, physio could possibly benefit you at the moment.

Congratulations nellie, wonderful news. flowers

Iam64 Tue 28-Apr-15 07:19:59

Bellasnana Tue 28-Apr-15 06:00:08

whenim64 Mon 27-Apr-15 23:22:11

Wonderful news, Nellie. congratulations to all your family flowers

pompa Mon 27-Apr-15 22:27:50

Having just scoffed a box of chocs with Mrs P, I doubt the sugar and calorific value of a cake will register on the scale.

pompa Mon 27-Apr-15 22:23:44

During a massage I was once offered "extras" imagine my disappointment when I discovered it wasn't cake smile

Charleygirl Mon 27-Apr-15 22:19:18

pompa the calorific content is too much for you nor is the sugar good for your teeth. I will be reporting your eating habits to your dentist.

Nellie great news flowers

Lona Mon 27-Apr-15 22:16:41

Nelliem wonderful news congratulations.

Bella so sorry to hear your DH is back in hospital. Hope he is well enough to come home again soon flowers.

Not been into the kitchen much recently as days have been very busy and evenings usually end up with me falling asleep in front of the TV (I even spilt my wine one night when I fell asleep glass in hand shock)

Pompa don't leave the kitchen please. Here, I've brought some cakes. Chocolate cupcakes and a fruit cake with extra ingredients (don't eat the fruit cake if you are teetoal, it might put you over the limit grin)

Night all sleep well moon

annsixty Mon 27-Apr-15 21:59:48

Good news NellieM congrats to all.

Purpledaffodil Mon 27-Apr-15 21:33:21

Soop. Sorry to hear of your friend's micro bleeds. We have been lucky that Mr P has not been as badly affected. Suspect it has not been good for his aphasia or moods though. sad
