New wardrobes ......

Thank you Katek, I appreciate your comment. I think the thing that works is finding a group of people where you feel happy and content with and at home and slimming with them, sharing stories and downfalls but generally being in it together. To do it alone is very hard and I can't seem to do that. I lost a load when I got divorced (well, about 11 and a half stone of ex husband!) no, about three stone but did that through going out clubbing and dancing it away which was good because I never did that as a teen. And I can't do that now so it is good that I did get to do it at some point in my life, it was fun.

I am going away for the weekend next week so I might leave joining until I get back as I intend to have the breakfast that comes with the bed.

Good luck at the gym, any excercise is good and keeps the system working so good on ya. I do hope that the cough starts to go away, it is awful for things to drag on and it seems a while now since Christmas. Can you go swimming? Are there aquarobics sessions near where you live? That might burn calories off?

Good luck Ruby....I just can't get my head into the weight loss zone, I don't know what's wrong with me or where my motivation has gone. I've successfully lost weight in the past but it's not happening this time, I do go to the gym and do a lot of resistance work with weights so I'm quite strong. I think the main factor is my inability to do very much aerobic work because of this cough that's plagued me since before Xmas. I'm on the case with that so hopefully I might see a change. Sure you'll do really well, Slimming World does seem to work.

Mine too Kate but hopefully starting at Slimming World on Monday. I need to make flesh friends so it's a start.

Unfortunately, only a dusty wall in need of a coat of paint emerged. Wish it had been Narnia....DGC's and I could have had lots of adventures!

Love the idea of the kaftans...wouid hide a multitude of sins in my case!!

The monster wardrobe has gone!!it really was huge, measured about 8' across x 7' high and 3' deep. Could almost have used it as a spare room! DH spent hours taking it apart and I hired 2 men and a van to take it away. Fortunately we live in a bungalow so no stairs to negotiate, but they were struggling (swearing!) getting it round the corner in the hall. Bedroom looks huge now even with the motley collection of storage boxes and dress rails against one wall.

ruby I bought two kaftans off e-bay for my holidays and will certainly be wearing them at home when we come back they are delightful,one a turquoise and pink and another a mixture of pale greens & lilacs,I shall be wearing them everyday when we are away and as you say the prices where excellent.
KateK How are you going to get said "monster" down the stairs or are you on ground level ? I remember once when my parents where moving the wardrobe had to come out of the bedroom window into the Road.

Mine at the moment are coming from ebay. I thought this thread was about changing your style (wardrobes) and I have done this recently. I don't like much of the clothing range of my age, 50, and so have chosen to get some kaftans and go all free spirited. There are some lovely ones on e bay and good prices too. After all, this could be a fad!

I hope you don't get lost in these wardrobes, they sound huge.
