The Lindleys named their daughter Margarita after her grandmother, Princess Margaret, so I suppose that name's already taken.

There are many "phonetic" variations like Aleesha"(?) , but I cannot imagine them choosing a "made up"however trendy variation on a name.

Of course most grandmas and great grandmas would be thrilled to share a birthday with their grandchild/ggc wouldn't they because there would be no doubt as to who had centre stage. Strange lot these royals.

rubylady, I don't think they will do trendy! The Queen's birthday has been and gone too, so he/she will not have to share celebrations. Kate has been swimming at Buck House this week, I wonder how long it will be before she goes into labour.

I'm going for Alecia for some unknown reason. It is a variant of Alice but a little bit more up trendy?

At least now she has got past their wedding anniversary, so baby's birthday won't now fall on the same day.
