I was knitting dolls clothes for DGD's doll. I took the dress the doll was wearing off to try the part knitted new garment on, took it off, and went to put the original dress back on. That was three months ago and I still haven't found the original dress.

To be fair Nellie he probably didn't realise that I was looking for them in the general mayhem that is inevitable when there are four under fours and their parents around! grin

Dustyangel- thanks. Mine was 2 weeks ago- but I am 5 years younger.

Not, not found anybody to look after Slinky and Pudding- time to go and have a very serious chat with my lovely neighbour...

I bought a card a couple of weeks ago for OH's BD- and put it away as soon as I got home... been looking for 2 days. Gone!

Kitty Did you OH not remember where he had put them? I've got one like that as well as myself .

This house we live I now in France was for a long time a holiday home. We kept an old car here to use when we came in a van - OH is a big fan of vans!- about ten years ago I put the 'spare' set of car keys in a cup or bowl in my china cupboard - they are still missing! We have changed furniture and all sorts and never a sign of them!

We have the opposite problem with keys! We keep finding keys and now have a drawer full of keys that have no home but that we aren't throw away - just in case!

Hildaj.... We had the same problem with missing shed, garage and back door keys. People popped them into pockets and forgot about them!

They are now on huge key rings, pieces of wood that are too big to go into pockets and live on hooks on the back of the pantry door. x

Well kitty I'm glad you found your bowls. I wish I could find the keys to the summer house. I put them away safely in the desk in the hall, it seems to have eaten them. We bought the summer house the year after we moved here, eleven years ago! We have to break into it every year when we want the garden recliners. grin

Many Happy Returns to your DH granjura. Mine will be 72. I married an older man, he's a whole week older than me. grin
A bit off track, did you ever find someone to look after your pets? I was very tempted till DH reminded me that DD and SiL are visiting us in April.

It's all DH's fault it usually is, he'd put them in the hot trolley (which wasn't on!) [confused[

Lona Sun 15-Mar-15 19:17:43

Well, if it's any help kitty I know it isn't I found the milk carton in the condiment cupboard yesterday! grin

In the freezer, the cupboard under the stairs, the bedroom?
Think of the least likely place?

Mishap Sun 15-Mar-15 19:03:47

The toy box?

Charleygirl Sun 15-Mar-15 19:01:46

Have you tried the fridge or even the bin?!!!! I find odd items in my microwave.

dustyangel Sun 15-Mar-15 18:59:14

Now your family tea is over you will probably find them Kitty. It's DH's birthday tomorrow and I'm sure the card I bought for him and put away 'safely' will turn up on Tuesday. grin

Two DDs and their partners and children came for 'tea this afternoon. We had tagline, rice salad and cherry pie with cream or custard. Unfortunately. I've lost 8 white pudding bowls - has any one seen them? I put them to warm, in the grill compartment which is over the oven and now, I've lost them and we had to use big blue cereal/soup bowls. confused
