Harry Potter Studio tour.

Thinking of taking DS in the Eater hols. He's 19.

I have loads of friends and family who have been, they all loved it, no matter what the age. Even a 4 year old is still talking about it months later.

Firstly - book a time slot. Allow 2 or 3 hours at least. Secondly - the shop is VERY expensive. I think they said the food is, too. Lots of parking.

Funnily enough petra we are going on Wednesday I'll report back when I've seen it...

My GCs loved it and so did their parents! Judging from their photos it looks amazing. Expensive, but very memorable and enjoyable!

MY GD loved it (she's 16) but she liked Florida one even more !!

petra - I thought it was fantastic. I went with my daughter, grand-daughter and grand-daughter's friend. From memory I think it was the year before last. I knew nothing about Harry Potter, never read the books and to be honest had no interest but there was a spare ticket so along I went. I think the girls were 12 or 13 then. I was mesmerised from start to finish. The children (or adults!) can have their photo taken wearing a cape and on a broomstick, which they print there and then and it looks as if the children are flying over London or their chosen landmark. Personally I thought it was wonderful and the two girls were dumstruck! They went back again for another visit and have since visited the one in Florida. I agree the shop is expensive, my DGD's friend spent £70 she was so carried away. There were all age groups there. The looks on the faces of the children there were priceless

My two loved it. I've got pictures of each of them "flying across the room" on a broomstick.

We took our three GC at Halloween a couple of years back. They loved every minute even the Deatheaters prowling around. We thought it was well worth the ticket price.

Having read the books and watched the films with the GCs I was fascinated too to see something of how they made the films and the sets.

As others have said the shop is ridiculously expensive and they have it arranged so you cant get out without going through it. Can't really remember prices exactly but ours wanted a wand each and they were £25 each and the Chocolate Frogs were about £9 or something stupid. We did fork out for the wands but drew the line at that much for a glorified Freddo! Probably best to agree a strategy or budget for the shop before you go.

I know that at least one of my GC has been to it and she adored it. If the others haven't been, I will try to visit at the right time so that I can go with them. Why should they have all the fun?
