Hello and welcome...grin

Purpledaffodil Wed 11-Mar-15 22:12:06

Reading about all the DH troubles made me feel very grateful that currently My DH is relatively well and able to potter. Although he has a whole raft of medical problems, including four strokes, at the moment none are making him really poorly. Now "infuriating and bossy", that's a different mattergrin
flowers to all of you with sick DHs.

Oh dear Bellasnana, infections can really take hold when your immune system is down during chemo. Bestest wishes to your DH and I hope the hospital can get this sorted quickly and that he is feeling better very soon. You must be run ragged, as you will be too numberplease -do try to take care of yourselves if you get the chance!flowers

Some make a feature out of their incompetence. The ex was useless at DiY. When he and his brother put up a small shelf unit in my kitchen it fell down on my nose just before DS2 was due and at that very moment the midwife rang the doorbell. Fortunately I have a tough nose and it remained unbroken. Would it surprise you to know that I became the possessor of an electric drill?

Loopylou The seasons don't seem to make much difference to my OH he's awkward most of the year.

Some men just do not have any idea of their lack of competance and others know but would never admit it.

I am not sure which position is most dangerous.

loopylou Wed 11-Mar-15 18:46:35

OMG, you think it's because the sap's rising and the days are getting longer and they can't adapt?
hmm

There's little hope then........

Iam64 Wed 11-Mar-15 18:34:46

Sending hugs and positive thoughts to Bella, Nellie (we x posted so I hadn't seen yours) and to everyone managing OH's in their stubborn determination to do it their way. Yes, I think it's the spring that's causing this outbreak of strife!

soop Wed 11-Mar-15 17:17:18

grin you lot are very funny!

kittylester Wed 11-Mar-15 16:47:28

I flipping well hope not! grin

Anya Wed 11-Mar-15 16:44:05

All this bloody mindedness from OHs and DHs..do you think it's the spring, sort of 'the sap rising'?

kittylester Wed 11-Mar-15 16:40:04

My post was for anya's comment! Not anno's!

soop Wed 11-Mar-15 16:39:12

number Seven weeks...it seems much longer. Isn't it comforting when the hospital staff are both competent and caring. Goodness only knows how much worse your husband might have been had he not been so fortunate. All good wishes to you both.
By gum...isn't the rent high for a small house? I feel very sorry for young folk who try their best to start home-making. I guess that the experience and sense of responsibility (to pay their way) will help them to mature. I wish them well.

Once again, dear Bella I'm pleased that your ex son-in-law will be visiting you. I know that you enjoy his company.

kitty Your husband certainly is doing well. Give him a hug.

kittylester Wed 11-Mar-15 16:12:39

grin

annodomini Wed 11-Mar-15 16:12:31

Bella, you must be absolutely worn out with the anxiety and to-ing and fro-ing. I do hope your DH is feeling better and you less frazzled. flowers

Anya Wed 11-Mar-15 16:06:42

Four feet?

numberplease Wed 11-Mar-15 15:53:46

Thinking of your husband Bella, hope he`s soon feeling better.
Soop, it`ll be 7 weeks tomorrow since he went in for his operation, 5 weeks this coming Friday since all the middle of the night kerpuffle that saw him land up in ICU, where the staff, incidentally, are so absolutely brilliant, there aren`t adequate words to describe them.
One of our grandsons, aged 20, has just found out that he and his girlfriend, 19, have been accepted as tenants of a house in town. It`s an old 1 bedroomed terraced, with a tiny kitchen, tiny shower room and a small living room, no garden or backyard, and one parking space at the front, it`s unfurnished, and the rent is £475 a month. I worry about them being able to afford it, they neither of them are on very high wages, but I suppose they have to stand on their own 2 feet sometime.

kittylester Wed 11-Mar-15 15:21:54

Bella, huge (((hugs))) for you and get all wishes for your DH. flowers

I shouldn't really moan about DH being bloody minded, he is working far too hard and then comes home to two under three year olds and he's nearly 70! But it is blinking irritating! grin

annsixty Wed 11-Mar-15 15:14:18

Bella flowers We can do no more than to tell you that you are in our thoughts.

soop Wed 11-Mar-15 14:54:22

Bella Lots of love. flowers

loopylou Wed 11-Mar-15 14:14:53

Thinking of you Bella, and DH.
Hope ex-SIL provides some distraction therapy of the pleasant kind x

Bellasnana Wed 11-Mar-15 14:12:40

(((Hugs))) from me, too, to all experiencing hubby problems, bloody-minded or otherwise grin

I'm afraid my poor DH has had to be admitted to hospital today due to a fever. He has been quite unwell since his chemo on Friday, so just as well they are keeping an eye on him.

What with rushing back and forth to the vet, the hospital, and our lovely (ex) son-in-law arriving tonight, I am wondering why everything happens all on one day confused

Right, I'm off again. See you soon flowers

soop Wed 11-Mar-15 12:03:38

cupcake brew make yourselves comfortable. smile

soop Wed 11-Mar-15 12:01:59

I'm going to be brief because having already lost a whole lot of messaging when the broadband connection was interrupted, maybe due to the wild weather.

Welcome back Iam64 we have a never ending supply of home-baked, calorie-free [cupcake) ...please help yourself.

Dear Kitcheners with "bloody-minded-husband" issues...(((hugs) unlimited.

number I feel very sorry for your husband. He really has had a difficult time since going into hospital for what should have been a routine procedure. How long has it been?

kittylester Wed 11-Mar-15 06:44:32

That is sounding positive number and I laughed out loud at your last comment flowers

I think there is something in the air Nellie as my DH is being bloody minded at the moment and its driving me potty! grin
