Hello everybody, I haven't been on the list for a while even though I read through the contents. A little while ago I had a query and I got very good advice from the list so, here goes again.
I am very hard of hearing and have great difficulty getting when trying to get a query answered by Barclays Bank, because the call centres are usually located now in India and I really can't understand a heavily accented voice on the phone. Once upon a time I could phone the call centre for telephone banking which was in Liverpool, which was great for me as I am very conversant with Scouse. Iam registered for and use internet banking, but call centre is in India and it is impossible for me to understand the agent.
I made a silly mistake when trying to schedule a future payment on Barclaycard and got very confused and wasn't sure if I had set this up twice. When I tried to sort it out on the phone it was impossible and as I am now housebound I cant easily get to a branch to talk to a person. I know Barclays have a video set up whereby a good sign language operator will 'listen' to you, problem is my sign language skills are very poor, so that has no benefit for me.
Hoping that somebody knows of a UK call centre which I can manage with hearing aids on boost.
Thanks agin.
