Internet shopping, postage and Duo Boots.

Duo boots slso have a scheme whereby you pay postage costs online and arrange collection from a local shop. I think the cost is £4.50. Still expensive but not as bad as £11. They shoud have sent you details with the information on how to return the product. I have found Duo to be good in the past. I'll go on the website and see if I can bag a bargain too!

I've had a similar thing....the trouble is that large companies have contracts for their deliveries....so they pay much less than a private individual does for returns.

Yes they did but there isn't a collection near to me and it would still amount to £10 p & P which is too much I feel.

I had to exchange something I bought online recently & because it was worth more than £20 the Post Office woman said I should insure it - it would have cost £8 something instead of £2.80.
I think that's an extortionate amount to pay for something that you should be able to take for granted, i.e, that the Post Office will actually manage to deliver a clearly and correctly addressed parcel to its destination.
I declined and said I would just have a certificate of posting.
But generally, I just accept delivery charges associated with online shopping. They are probably outweighed by the cost of driving to the shops, parking and driving back from the shops, not to mention the time spent, and the temptation to waste time and spend even more while you're at the shops.
