Did you hear the tale of the woman who advertised for sale the complete set of Encyclopaedia Britannica (this was pre Google days)? She then added 'Reason for sale, husband knows everything'.
Could be my DH.

Is this an inheritable characteristic? DS2 is a formidable arguer. The trouble is that he knows a great deal more than I do about economics! His father hated to have a woman contradict him, even on the most trivial matters.

DH has - and wears - a t-shirt with that slogan on. Not sure what that means.

As mine will argue about/with anyone (including people on the TV!), last night I said 'I'm sure you're right' (he wasn't, but hey ho) and he started arguing about that!!
I give up ......

When men do get a direct reply from a woman, they call it nagging.

A direct reply from a woman, is that possible, usually get, maybe - possibly - although, etc.

You mean a direct one? Men can't cope with too many options, can they.

Probably, but at least he gets a sensible reply.

When we got lost when ex was driving, it was my fault; when we got lost when I was driving, guess what!

So infuriating!

I rtemember that "good idea" thing, rosequartz DH would turn down my suggestions as impossible, then come from work with "We were talking about xxxx today and so-and-so suggested . . ."

He hates me having the last word - he says 'you always like the last word, don't you'!

So even at the end of a 'discussion' he will say:
"The Last Word"

He then chats to his friends and comes back with a 'good idea' - which was rubbish when I suggested it.

I have a tea mug - I am not disagreeing just explaining you are wrong

I've got a fridge magnet which says :

"I knew I was marrying Mr Right . I just didn't know his first name was Always".

Sounds as if they're all much the same!

Once I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken!

Highly relieved mine isn't the only one!
Must be in their genes I guess......

My mother gave me some good advice on my wedding day, it has stood me in good stead. "Remember that your husband is always right, even when he's wrong".
