In December I made a donation to Crisis at Christmas in lieu of sending out cards - fine, all done and dusted - hope it did some good.
I have just received a phone call from them trying to get me to become a "Crisis Investor" - basically to make a monthly donation.
I do think it is an excellent charity, but a bit of me does not like being rung up like that at 8 o'clock in the evening. I know that they have to drum up more money, and I am not sure I know what the best way to do it is, but I am not sure that this is it - people need to be able to make a no-strings donation knowing that they will not be chased up afterwards.
Am I being a crabby old git?
