Good morning. Dull and damp in Birmingham but at least we didn't get the expected snow, apart from a few short flurries.

Good morning from Cheshire. Still a few vestiges of snow around but nothing new. Cold and dull - boring weather!

kitty your DH's theory certainly applied to my Mum who was in a care home and died at 93 after stopping eating and drinking. She just slept herself away and we refused their offer to send her to hospital for artificial feeding and hydration. It used to be described as "turning her/his face to the wall". She had a peaceful end which was comforting to all her children.

Thanks for asking Juliette. No more crises at present but she is not eating well at all. We are going to sort new teeth for her but it's a toss up whether she should continue with the old pair I had kept rather than try the new ones. Either way, I expect her to lose them! DH has a theory that older people stop eating as a way of fading away but their relatives panic and ask for new dentures for them. It's a difficult dilemma!

We have a snow shower in this part of Essex so it may be coming your way nannotgran,
brenda what is a back bender? I think I may benefit from one of them as my neck and shoulder muscles are in need of some help.
Happy day everyone. I'm not going anywhere.

Snow here in N.Staffs , thankfully it's not too much so fingers crossed it will soon be gone. How's your mum kittylester? No more 'set backs' I hope. Stay warm and safe everyone.

Morning all.
Wet but calm here in East Sussex. My DD in Chester had a yellow weather warning for snow so bought lots of work home. Result no snow at all.
Not much on today so must get on the back bender to strengthen back and stretch shoulder muscles. I have not been on it since Xmas so cannot put it off longer.
nannitgran if you have tubigrip on your leg you should not leave it on overnight.

Good morning everyone. When DH and I went out to work at 03.30 the snow was falling. When we finished at 07.00 it had stopped. It is now cold and grey. Going to Dad's later, to help my sisters begin clearing out the house. He has made a lady friend in the care home and he's hardly been there a week!!

Morning All

Overcast here today - and no sign of frost. Brilliant! I'm off to physio at half eight and it looks like I shan't have to sit in a freezing car blasting air in my face for ten minutes before I can see to drive like poor DH had to yesterday.

kittylester Wed 21-Jan-15 07:26:44

Good morning all!

It's still quite cold in North Leicestershire!

BiL is calling in on his way to his daughter's house. He flew in from his home in Thailand yesterday - hope he's brought some warm clothes with him! shock

Falconbird Wed 21-Jan-15 07:21:12

Drizzle and a bit chilly here in W. Country. We've been very lucky with no snow yet - fingers crossed.

loopylou Wed 21-Jan-15 07:18:37
