Cold and dark here too! Just back from driving friend who has been staying with us to Milton Keynes station for the 7 am train (!) I haven't seen the dawn for a long to time and it was quite dramatic. Glad roads weren't icy but brrrrrrrr!!!!

A very good morning to all. There must have been a snow shower after 03.30. There's just a sprinkling at my gate. It is cold and there are shower clouds looming. Brr!!

Good morning everyone
Sprinkling of snow here but not particularly cold. Been up since 4.30 as couldn't sleep so have cleaned half the house, 3rd load of washing on and feeling smug grin!
Will be knackered by mid-afternoon!

Morning michael. Looks clear and cold here this morning. Dusting of frost on the ground. Been awake since 6.30 but as usual just showered and laid in bed. My excuse is that I'm allowing my moisturiser to sink in and so improving the health of my skin. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. grin hope those of you living in colder parts manage to stay warm. Have a good day.

Good morning all. Thick frost here this morning in East Sussex. No clouds or wind.
Very stiff and achy this morning. But have a booked appt to my acupuncturist so hope to get some relief.

And Now it's snowing heavily sad

No snow in London, yet, but very frosty. I am off to the gym shortly, but must scrape heavy frost off my car.

My washing machine drum is grating and grinding which is just great. I had to buy a "new" car just before Christmas and thought, stupidly I could get through this month without major financial outlays.

Morning all.

A beautiful bright sunny cold day in N Kent with a slight frost.

I have no plans to leave the house smile I'm wondering if my friend will be able to drive from Portsmouth to here on Tuesday. The snow is creeping it's was South.

daffydil Sat 17-Jan-15 09:07:35

Bright, cold amd frosty in this part of Essex too with ice on the bird bath.
Nothing much planned for today. Sainsbury's home delivery expected this afternoon - I hate the job of stowing everything away. We only have a delivery once a fortnight so it is always a lengthy business.
Have a good day all.

Morning all. Was bright, but now clouded over. Late up, as had to read all the new posts in GN. Now I am up, and looking for tonight's supper in freezer. Why do I NOT label everyting that I squirrel away. So it's pot luck tonight. Yesterday I bought a can of silicone spray, to use on my squeaky roller blind. The little straw/tube that comes with it, doesn't fit the hole. Why not? Don't they check? I think I will take it back to the big chain store. If I had walked to the other end of the high street, I could have got something from our wonderful little local shop, who always knows just what you need. Serves me right for being lazy. Oh well, off to town now, bye.

Good morning from Norwich. DH has gone out to get papers and just returned in the snow!! Great big flakes like cotton wool balls, looks as if it might last a while, but hope not!!

KatyK Sat 17-Jan-15 10:09:27

Good morning. Lovely sunshine in Brum. No frost this morning.

Mishap Sat 17-Jan-15 10:19:09

Bright and sunny with frost and ice and we can see the snow on the Welsh hills from our bedroom and balcony - it is very beautiful and promises to be an ideal day for sewing in our south facing conservatory which catches the sun.

Whether I will venture out of a walk I do not know - risk of slippery lane has to be taken into account.

Morning All

Big flakes of snow here too GMA, but it's not laying. Bloomin' cold though. The sort of day when I know a brisk walk would do me good - but the crossword in the paper is far more inviting!

Have a happy, warm day Everybody.

So there we were, bright and sunny and 4C, when big flat flakes started to fall! It seemed quite bizarre, the first flakes we have had here in central East Angular falling in the sunshine. 19 yr-old acting as if he had never seen snow before - it lasted all of 5 mins!
