My little grandson (6 months old) only has to hear the first strains of "his" lullabies on his mother's iPad, to "assume the position" - he sort of tucks his little chin in like a baby bird - and then he's off, fast asleep. The programme is accompanied by mandala-like repetitive patterns, and he has a look at those fir a few moments as if to say "Okay, I get it, it's bedtime".
