It seems windier here this morning than it was yesterday, but still nowhere near as bad as Up North. Scudding clouds but a clear sky above, so maybe a bit of sun later.

It was definitely lighter earlier today - summers coming!

Good morning everyone hope you are all well.
Windy and wet in East Sussex. We had no water last night due to large water leak two houses away. It took the workers two hours from the first man arriving to starting work and then another five plus hours to mend the leak.

Hello everyone. It is not a good morning in south west Northumberland. The rain is battering my windows and the wind is howling. When I arrived home from work an owl was hooting in the trees behind my house. What a comforting sound that is! I've gone back to be for a few hours to get some extra sleep. I'm going to look after Dad for the next two nights, so no sleep for me! He is going into a Care Home on Wednesday, so that will be a relief for my sisters and me.

Not a good morning here either, the winds seem to be stronger than ever, the howling through the trees is giving me a headache, dreadful noise.
Garden swinging chair blown length of garden and next door's glass topped garden table has been blown over 5' fence into the woods.
Do hope calms down soon.....

We have youngest DGS today, as spermie has now decided that 'one night a week' means just that ! Puck them up at 7pm and give them back 10am next morning!! So they won't get any "daddy time"

Grey skies but it is not dark very very windy.Just took my dog for a walk he weighs 2 kilos so that was good for a laugh poor Pip

Gales still blowing here in Fife - seems the same for everyone this morning! Snow is blustering around, too. We're supposed to be going to a 'surprise' 70th party tonight. I'll be more surprised if it's still on! Much to be said for 'cooryin' doon' in front of the telly on a wintery night, isn't there? Keep cosy, everyone.

Still windy here in N.Staffs but bright and sunny too. Not going anywhere today so the weather can do its worst. A good Saturday is wished for all of you.

Morning all, a few clouds this morning but otherwise the weather continues sunny and bright thank goodness.
I fell over early Friday morning and all the bumps and bruises are coming out today,slept like a log though. Not much to do until I visit DH who is in hospital for a week.

hilda does it mean that you can't go to work when you look after your Dad? It must be very tiring for you and your sisters.

Blizzard just started. Horizontal snow whizzing past the windows.

It can't make up its mind what to do here in mid Essex. Went from dull to brilliant sunshine and back again. Sunny right now but dark clouds not far away. Very windy.
Daughter and son in law who live in Cumbria were due to go to Scotland for a week's walking and birdwatching today but I have had an email to say they have decided not to travel today. Very wise.

Horizontal snow has stopped falling and melted. The sun is shining brightly.

It is now afternoon (do I get drummed out of the thread?) and the wind has dropped.
This means I have a chance of taking the dog for a walk and all four of her paws may stay on the ground (apart from when she is walking, that is).
