A four line poem

Oh poor little children
No yard in which to play
Only classrooms springing up
To take the fun away.

Open your mind, your soul you can bare

Get ready for the friends you haven't yet met

Swing open the door come into, " GransNet "

Right! Enough of being serious and wise,
And having the wool pulled over my eyes.
I'm going to be silly and drink lots of wine;
And think of mending this old hip of mine.

Our grandads are so handsome
Our grandmas are so pretty
And I am really glad to say
We're all immensely witty.

Upon the ground
It was golden
And oh so round.


I found it behind Dad's television yesterday.

I seem to have lowered the tone somewhat!!!!!!

We have no tone for you to lower
For we love every word
It makes us grans a stronger bunch
From the sublime to absurd!

If we lowering the tone ?
Please don't leave me out
even if you quietly groan
how many rules he flout?

The tone goes up and down at will
Just like a flipping yo-yo
As long as we don't slide down hill
It's rhymes and pomes a go-go

Farnorth laughing now
Because nothing is off limits
But panicking because
I have to rhyme with Nimitz!

Orange is a hard word
To find a rhyming match,
I do not wish to look a nerd,
Although it does come natch!

I felt a weird prediction
Oh help me all, what can I do?
